What is a GIF thumbnail generator?
A GIF thumbnail generator is when you make the thumbnail of your video a GIF so that it’s more engaging when someone receives your video through a link. When you share your video over email you can include a preview of it as a GIF. Instead of an image, you can add a Graphics Interchange Format or GIF.
How to share your video with a GIF thumbnail
Step 1: Record
Open the Tella app and either sign in or sign up. It takes a couple of clicks to get started. Once you’re ready to record, press, “Start recording.” You can pause the recording at any time. Once your recordings are finished, go to the next step.
Step 2: Customise
When you’ve completed your recordings, edit them in the Tella editor window. You can remove any mistakes or unnecessary parts by trimming, splitting, or deleting clips. Tella’s editor is intuitive and easy to use.
Step 3: Share or Download
When you’re done, just click “Finish,” and you’ll be redirected to the page your viewers will see if you share your recording. There you can click "Share" and select the email option. You'll be able to copy the GIF preview and paste it into an email. You can also pick which time you want to generate the GIF preview from in the video.
Can you add a GIF to a thumbnail?
Yes. When you record a video in Tella an animated GIF thumbnail is automatically generated for you. You can share your video with its animated GIF via email. Recipients will be more likely to open your video with a GIF thumbnail.
What is a thumbnail generator?
A thumbnail generator is a tool that takes a clip or image from your video and uses it as its main image. Many video creators will create their own thumbnails, so it’s engaging and prompts more clicks. You can use Tella’s thumbnail generator within our screen recording tool to create engaging thumbnails, whether it’s an image or GIF.
