What are custom backgrounds?
Custom backgrounds in a screen recording are the images that are superimposed behind you in a webcam recording. When you’re making a recording where you’re sharing your webcam and your slides, you can use Tella’s app to frame the image and yourself with a custom background.
How to custom backgrounds?
Step 1: Record
Select the desired screen to capture from the Tella recorder. You can share one tab or your entire screen. Press "Start recording," and you'll receive a three-second countdown. At any time, you can pause the recording and make a new clip.
Step 2: Customise
Once you have all of your recorded clips, you can piece them together, trimming any unnecessary material and rerecording as needed. You can alter the background or layout of video and choose from 1000s of custom backgrounds.
Step 3: Share or Download
When you’re video is complete, click “Finish.” You’ll go to the page your viewers will see if you share your recording. There, you’ll be able to watch your recording, share it with a link, export it, embed it, and more. In case you have any last-minute thoughts, you can always go back to edit it again.

How do I change the background on my screen recorder?
In the Tella app, after you’ve completed your recording, you’ll go to the editor window. From there, you can change the layout of where your screen and your webcam recording are positioned. You can pick from several different templed layouts and change the background as well.
