To include multimedia elements within a post.

What is embed in Substack?

Embed in Substack refers to the feature that allows users to incorporate or integrate various types of content into their newsletters or posts. This could include multimedia content such as videos, audios, tweets, or other social media posts. The purpose of this feature is to enhance the richness and interactivity of the content, making it more engaging for the readers.

To use this feature, users simply need to paste the URL of the content they wish to embed directly into the editor. Substack automatically recognizes the URL and embeds the content into the post. This feature makes it easy for writers to share relevant content from other platforms, thus providing a more comprehensive and engaging reading experience for their subscribers.

How to embed a video in Substack?

Embedding a video in Substack is a straightforward process. First, you need to have the video uploaded on a platform like YouTube or Vimeo. Once the video is uploaded, you can get the embed code from the platform. On YouTube, for example, you can find this by clicking on the 'Share' button below the video, then selecting 'Embed'. This will give you a code that you can copy.

To embed this code into your Substack post, go to your Substack dashboard and start a new post. In the post editor, click on the '+' button to add a new element and select 'Embed'. A box will appear where you can paste the embed code you copied from the video platform. After pasting the code, click 'Insert' and the video will appear in your post. You can then continue writing your post as normal.

How to embed a tweet in Substack?

Embedding a tweet in Substack is a straightforward process. First, you need to find the tweet you want to embed. Click on the tweet to open it and then click on the three dots (more) icon and select 'Embed Tweet'. This will take you to a new page with the tweet's HTML code.

Copy the entire HTML code. Then, go to your Substack dashboard and start a new post or open an existing one. In the post editor, switch to the HTML view by clicking on the '<>' icon. Paste the copied HTML code where you want the tweet to appear in your post. Switch back to the normal view and you will see the tweet embedded in your post. Save or publish your post when you're done.

How to embed a podcast in Substack?

Embedding a podcast in Substack is a straightforward process. First, you need to have your podcast hosted on a platform that provides an embed code, such as SoundCloud, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts. Once you have your podcast hosted and have the embed code, you can start the process of embedding it into your Substack post.

To embed the podcast, create a new post in Substack. In the post editor, click on the "Embed" button, which is located in the toolbar at the top of the page. A pop-up window will appear where you can paste your podcast's embed code. After pasting the code, click "Embed" to insert the podcast into your post. You can then adjust the placement of the podcast within your post as needed. Remember to save your post when you're done.
