A startup pitch video is a short video that explains what your startup does, the problem is solves, and how it will make money. It’s normally a recording of your camera while you present a slide deck. Startup pitch videos can be sent to investors and included in applications for startup accelerators like Y Combinator.
From the Tella recorder turn on your camera and select the slides you want to present. You can import slides directly from Google Drive, or upload PowerPoint, Keynote, PDFs, or image files. When you’re ready, press “Start recording”.
Once you’ve recorded your pitch you can fine tune it in the Tella editor. Trim the video to remove any mistakes, pick a layout with a large camera, and add a background with your startup’s brand.
When you’re done editing, press “Finish”. Press “Copy link” to share a link to your startup pitch page. Or download your video to publish on platforms like YouTube.
The best startup pitches are short and concise. Investors want to see that you can articulate the idea without rambling. In your pitch you should explain what your idea is in simple terms, then explain how what problem your idea solves, and finish with how it will make money and grow. You can also include sections about your current progress and information about the team.
