Gaël Clichy and Remote Football Analysis Videos

Grant Shaddick

Gaël Clichy is a professional football player from France and one of the most decorated left backs of the last 20 years. He started his career as part of Arsenal’s Invincibles and in 2004 became the youngest Premier League winner at just 18. Gaël then went on to win two more Premier League titles with Manchester City in 2012 and 2014.

These days he plays in Switzerland at Geneva's Servette FC. But Gaël is planning for a career in football beyond just playing — he’s got his eye on management.

Becoming a football manager takes years of experience, study, and qualification. So to fit management training into his busy playing schedule Gaël looked for video tools to help 👇.

Before Tella we needed to travel to see the player, now we can scale and do lot of analysis.”

Mathieu Feigan, a performance analyst at Servette FC discovered Tella from a creator on Instagram and thought it could be a good way to record and share game analysis videos. Gaël could create videos for his analysis and coaching without the hassle of visiting players in person or dealing with Zoom calls.

After testing Tella Gaël realised it was exactly what he needed. Its speed and simplicity meant he could create professional videos and then easily share them with other players.

In his videos Gaël shares advice, presents analyses, and comments on game footage to which helps newer players improve their game.

It’s a perfect tool for what we need, which is doing analysis and sharing it…it’s super simple and fun to use”

It’s early days for Tella with Gaël but Servette FC are 2nd place in the Swiss Pro League so it can’t be hurting!
