Set a thumbnail from a video frame
- Open your video in the editor.
- Click Share in the top right, then select Viewer Settings.
- In the Thumbnail section, choose Video frame.
-
Enter the Frame start time in seconds. Use the increment and decrement buttons to adjust the value. This timestamp controls:
- The static thumbnail shown in your library, the view page, and the embedded player.
- The starting point of the animated preview that loops on hover.
If your video is too short or the start time is too close to the end, Tella will show a warning. The animated preview requires enough remaining video from the selected timestamp.
Upload a custom thumbnail
- Open your video in the editor.
- Click Share in the top right, then select Viewer Settings.
- In the Thumbnail section, choose Upload.
- Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image (minimum 1080×1080, maximum 4032×4032 pixels).
