How to upload a video from your computer to Tella
Tella’s upload feature allows you to import pre-recorded videos from your computer and integrate them into your Tella projects. This is especially useful if you have existing content that you’d like to merge with the videos you’re creating within Tella. In this guide, we’ll explain how to use the upload feature and highlight key considerations, such as file format compatibility. Why use the upload feature?
The Upload feature enables you to enhance your videos by combining existing video content with newly recorded clips. This is particularly helpful if you’ve created content in other software or have videos stored on your device that you want to incorporate into your Tella workflow. You can import these clips directly into Tella and edit them alongside your new recordings, making the process seamless and flexible. How to upload a video in Tella
There are two main ways to upload videos to Tella: 1. From your account overview:- Log into your Tella account and navigate to your Account Overview.
- Click the Upload button, which will open a new screen.
- From here, click Select File to open your computer’s file picker and choose the video you want to upload.
- Once the file is selected, it will be uploaded into Tella, ready for editing or integrating into your projects.

Limitations
- Uploading videos from your computer requires a paid Tella plan. This feature is not available during a free trial.
- The current limitation with this feature is that we only allow videos up to 5GB to be uploaded. Videos larger will need to be compressed first.
- For uploaded clips, there are 2 layout options available. To apply any of our other layouts, record your screen and/or talking head directly in Tella. This is required to combine both video files into one layout.
