Tella does not have a virtual background or green screen effect that removes and replaces your physical background in the camera feed. However, you can blur your camera background to soften it so the focus stays on you.

Workarounds

If you need to completely hide or replace your physical background, here are some options:
  1. For Mac users, you can use macOS’ built-in video effects feature that lets you overlay a virtual background behind your camera. You can find more information about how to do that on Apple’s support site here.
  2. Use a third-party virtual camera app.
  3. Use a physical backdrop: A simple solid-colored curtain or portable backdrop behind you creates a clean, professional look without any software.
  4. Use Tella’s layouts strategically: Choose layouts where your camera is smaller or positioned in a corner, making your background less prominent.
