Minimum requirements
- Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) or later, including Windows 11. Earlier Windows 10 builds, Windows 8, and Windows 7 are not supported.
On Windows 10, Windows draws a yellow capture border around the display being recorded and there is no way to hide it. Windows 11 hides it automatically.

Intel, AMD, or ARM processor. There are separate installers for each:
- Most PCs (Intel/AMD): TellaSetup.exe
- Surface Pro X or Snapdragon (ARM): TellaSetup-arm64.exe
- Internet connection with an upload speed of at least 2.5–5 Mbps for reliable uploads. Test your speed here.
- Free disk space of at least 5–10 GB before recording. Tella temporarily saves recordings to local storage before uploading them, so longer or higher-quality recordings need more space. See low disk space in the Windows app for details.
If your PC can’t run a supported Windows version, you can still record with the web app in a supported browser. See the minimum usage requirements.
