You can select multiple videos at once on your My videos, Workspace videos, and Trash pages, then act on them all together — copy links, add to a playlist, change access, restore, or delete.

How to select multiple videos

There are four ways to select more than one video:

Click to toggle

Click the checkbox on a video to add it to your selection. Click it again to deselect. Repeat for as many videos as you want.

Shift-click for a range

  1. Select your first video.
  2. Hold Shift and click another video further down (or up) the list.
  3. Every video between the two is selected at once.

Drag to select

On desktop, you can draw a selection box around multiple videos:
  1. Click and hold on an empty area of the page.
  2. Drag across the videos you want to select — a selection box appears as you drag.
  3. Release. Every video the box touches is selected.
Hold Shift while you drag to add to your existing selection instead of replacing it.
Drag-to-select is available on desktop only — on mobile, use the checkboxes.

Select all videos

  • Press Cmd+A (macOS) or Ctrl+A (Windows) to select the videos that are already loaded. In list view, this selects the current page. In grid view, it selects every page you’ve loaded by scrolling.
  • To select every video in the current library section or playlist, including any active filters, select at least one video and click Select all in the bottom toolbar. Tella loads and selects the remaining videos across every page.
While Tella is loading a large selection, click Stop in the toolbar to keep the videos selected so far.

Where it works

You can bulk select on:
  • My videos — your personal videos
  • Workspace videos — videos shared in your workspace
  • Trash — deleted videos waiting to be permanently removed
It also works inside any playlist.

What you can do with selected videos

When videos are selected, a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen showing the actions available for your selection.

On My videos and Workspace videos

  • Copy links — copy share links for every selected video at once
  • Add to playlist — add the selected videos to a playlist
  • Add user — share the selected videos with someone (you must have editor access to the workspace)
  • Access — change the link visibility for the selected videos
  • Delete videos — move the selected videos to Trash
Inside a playlist, you’ll also see Remove from playlist.

On Trash

  • Restore videos — move the selected videos back to My videos
  • Delete now — permanently delete the selected videos right away, instead of waiting for the 30-day window

Clearing your selection

Click the X at the start of the bottom toolbar (next to the count) to deselect every video at once.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Cmd+A (macOS) or Ctrl+A (Windows) — select every video currently loaded.
  • Shift+Click — select a range between two videos.
  • Esc — clear your selection.

Tip

Bulk select pairs well with sort and filter. For example, filter to Not in a playlist, select one video, click Select all, and add the whole filtered group to a playlist in one go. Switching to list view also makes large selections easier to scan.
