Community skills are the public skills people have shared for Tella’s editor agent at tella.com/skills: animated graphics, transition screens, diagrams, and editing and publishing workflows. Both tools are read-only and work for any MCP caller. The Tella Agent has them too. To use a skill, paste its id (tellahq/community-skills/<name>) into a chat with the Tella Agent. The agent then uses the skill in that chat.

search_community_skills

Search the community skills. A skill is returned when at least one word in query matches the start of a word in its name, title, tags, category, description or author, so “diagram” finds “diagrams”. Skills that match more query words rank first. Without a query, the most-used skills come first.
string
What the skill should do or make, e.g. chapter title card
enum<string>
Only skills in this category — Images, Transition screens, Full animations, Diagrams, Editing or Publishing
integer
Most results to return, 1 to 50 (default 10)
Each result has:
  • name and id (tellahq/community-skills/<name>)
  • title, description, author, category and tags
  • url: the skill’s page on tella.com, with a preview
  • gitHubURL: the skill’s files
  • uses: how often the skill has been used

get_community_skill

Read one community skill: everything search_community_skills returns, plus its full SKILL.md instructions, its other files (each with a path, size and download url), videoURL (a Tella video showing its result), commit and updatedAt. Only the live version is returned. An unknown skill returns a not_found error.
string
required
The skill’s name, its id (tellahq/community-skills/<name>) or its GitHub link
