Introducing Lattice: The AI-Native Workspace 🚀

Hello, welcome.

I'm Will and I'm introducing Lattice.

So Lattice is a combination of a few apps people might be familiar with such as Obsidian, Notion, airtable, Power, Bi and a bunch of other apps that we use as humans to collect and collate information.

Lattice tries to solve this problem in a new way for the AI native era.

what that means is an entirely local file system driven workspace, which is similar to a Notion notebook.

but the twist is that because it uses all file formats that are open and the AI natively understands, your AI can powerfully generate, modify, edit and automate your internal data workspace, internal docs, basically any information that your company ingests.

Lattice can be a landing space.

and the way I like to think about it is it provides a human editor, a preview and a presentation layer for every file type that the AI can natively understand.

And the AI can compose these pieces together into a comprehensive notebook made of these pieces.

So if we look at this notebook with Lattice, this is kind of a demo notebook I set up.

And so as you can see, it works basically like a Obsidian notebook with Wikipedia links, markdown, formatting, etc.

it goes beyond this by supporting data which uses arrow parquet, CSV and DuckDB and SQLite to create a essentially local file system based querying analysis and storage engine.

that means that we can make for example jupyter notebooks that can use data from Lattice.

We can make we can make charts with Vega, we can have interactive workflows that run in a hosted automation system within the app.

it has a cloud that can help you do that.

it supports basically every file type, and everything is embeddable in a shared canvas space which can include data apps, pages, basically anything you can do with data you can do with Lattice.

And on top of that it has embeddings and HMSW search and an AI assistant powered by Pioneer and Acteon, aidb.
