Member Profile Area Overview 👤

Hello there, this is Hannah from Team MV, and today we're going to walk through an overview of your member profile area.

So this is where you have a list of all the members in your account, and you can go into their individual profiles and see their activity, which products they have access to, all that good stuff.

So you'll find this under Members and then List.

So when you click on Members, it'll just automatically populate to this page, and then you'll see an overview of all of the members in your account.

You may also have seen this referred to as users, especially if you're a long-time account owner.

This was originally called users and we renamed it to members a few years ago.

So, just in case you have the two in your head, they both mean the same thing.

So this is the member section overall.

You can sort it by all of the members, or you can go to this drop-down menu and you can sort it based on which product people have access to.

So we'll just say our text product.

Then that repopulates your list for you here.

So you can also sort by sign-up or you can sort by engagement, so who has the most engagement in a product or overall in your account.

So you can sort by sign-up but you can also sort by completion, if you select Completion, then this will show another category for you here in your account.

Now, none of our tests in this case have actually completed it, so it's all gonna be zero.

But say someone totally completed your product, it would be 100%, 97, 80-something.

the whole list will go from top to bottom of who's completed.

It the most.

And you can search for a particular member as well.

So we'll go back to our main member list here, and you can search if you have a lot of members.

Obviously in this case there's only 5 of us, so it's pretty easy to see just on one page.

But you could search for Mike, and then all of your Mikes will come up.

One thing to note is that currently you can't search for both first name and last name.

You can do one or the other and it'll pull up, or you can search for an email address and it should pull up for you.

that is one limitation.

Limitation that we do want to address with the search bar, but as long as you have at least somebody's name to help narrow it down, then that's what you need to know here.

And then you also have the option to download a CSV of your member data.

So if you wanted to export this, or if you wanted to manage member access through a CSV file, then this is the place that you would go for that.

And so you would just click Download CSV and follow the prompts to do that.

So now let's take a look at an individual profile.

So we'll go to this test account and click on the pencil and paper icon under Action.

And then right at the top you can see the current products that this user has access to, their progress, and the amount of EP that they've earned.

This is not where you manage the product access, you'll need to scroll down a little bit further for that, but this gives you just an overview of the products that they have access to.

Then you'll see their email address, their first name, last name, and you can reset their password from here if you need to.

And you'll also see the number of EP.

This is not editable here, but all of these fields—email, first name, last name, and password—are all editable.

so you can go in and change any of this information if needed.

If your member switches emails and they want to have a new one there, then they can also update this, but so can you from your section here in their profile.

And then we'll go down to this Products section, and this is where you manage the product access.

So you'll click to toggle this section open, and then let's say I wanted to give myself this access to this other product, I would click the check mark, and then you click Save Member to actually save your changes.

And there you go.

Right at the top, you see that I now have access to both of these products.

Now we'll scroll down here.

If you have quiz questions in your products, then this is another place that you can check for the quiz answers.

The other place is up here in Activity, and there's a whole dedicated section for quiz responses for every user.

But if you just wanted to check one individual member, then you can come in here, and then it will list the date that they answered the question, the answer, and then any actions that were taken in that case.

And then the same thing here, Payments.

If this member has paid you, then you will see all of that information here.

Again, this is a test account, so there's not much data to go off of in this case, but you would have the date of the payment, the amount, which member it was, which product or offer they're buying, and then the type of payment as well.

Then you can go down to EP Breakdown, and this will tell you how many EP that this member has.

So you'll see each product, and then you'll also have a section for posts and comments.

So this is for the community feature, also for the comments feature, and that will show you the number of EP that they have earned in each of the products and also through commenting.

And then our next section, our activity log, will show basically what has been happening.

So in this case, it's already logged that we did that manual add from the profile here.

So we've got a login, a sign up, added to the product, and then this is really handy because it will tell you how they signed up.

So in this case case, when I was testing this product, I did a free sign-up, and so that will show up here.

And in this case, I was an admin manually adding myself to the product, so that will show up here.

You'll also see webhook, you'll see added by an action from another product, you'll see purchases.

That all shows up in this activity log, and it's very handy if you're trying to figure out how was somebody added to this product, then definitely go to this section.

One other section that does not appear on this screen but will show up if needed is the Actions Log, and that's right underneath the Activity Log.

So that would show up, and you could also view the different actions that someone's completed.

So let's say that if I was to sign up for this test product, I had an action to add myself to another product in my account, then that would show up under the Actions Log.

And then of course at the very end you can delete the member if need be.

Usually we recommend just removing the product access, which again you can do from up here.

So if I were to remove my access from this product, uncheck, click Save Member, and there we go.

I just have the access to the one product now.

So we typically recommend doing that instead of outright deleting a member because you'll lose all of this data if you do that.

But if you're absolutely sure that you want to remove this member, then that's where you would do that.

So that's a general overview of the Member Profile area.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to me in chat support or also email hello@membervault.co, and I'll see that there as well.
