Create Report Upgrade!

Hey everyone, I'm coming to you with a quick Delve updates that I'm super excited about today.

We've made some really nice improvements to the Create Report flow in Delve.

And if you've been using it for a while, you probably know that there were like two different entry points into report creation.

And one of them had all the new report types and one of them was kind of like the legacy report creation flow.

So we finally merged those into one flow and it's just a lot more refined and a lot nicer.

So when I go to my Create Report button up here in the sidebar, you will see all six report types and then once you pick the report type, you will kind of see the rest of the settings flow in these should look super familiar to you.

one thing that I will call out is we've added a specific setting for trackers.

I only have one tracker on this project.

But if you have multiple trackers, you'll see multiple lines a line for each tracker and you can just really quickly turn the tracker off, on or off.

And that just means like that tracker is not feeding this report at all.

As far as the coverage goes, the filter section familiar to you.

If I go in here and pick a, let's say a publication list, you will notice up in the top bar that the coverage count will adjust.

So this number shows you how many articles are within the scope of the report based on your current settings.

All these settings, perspectives, sources, context should be familiar to you.

And if you want to deep dive on those, you can go back to our report creation updates video.

But one kind of new set of features on this flow is that you can now see the list of coverage that your report settings represents, while you're updating it.

So if I click on this view coverage button, I'm now popped up into a list of all the articles that are within that report window based on my settings.

And this is super nice because you can also open the detail panel and just make sure, you know, look back on the data or kind of double check that these are the ones you're expecting.

And we've also added a brand new feature So now you can exclude articles from your report so it doesn't change anything about the settings that we just did on the previous page.

It's basically just like a fine tune layer.

So you've done your settings and maybe you go into this list and you're like, shoot, you know what Actually like this tech radar, whatever.

We don't want these pieces.

I'm just going to exclude those.

So when you click on that little icon and the little I closes, that means article is excluded.

It'll get grayed out and that just means it's not going into this report.

So up at the top you'll see there's 108 items in the, in the window, but we've excluded seven of them.

So if you want to clear those, you can just click that reset button and they'll, the exclusions will be reset.

then I can go ahead and create my report either from here or from the same thing.

and the report will generate like normal.

You'll notice that the dashboard no longer has a create report button.

And that's because we've made sure that you had all the functionality of, that dashboard report flow.

It's all here.

You can see your list, you can fine tune your list, you can see all the report types.

So there's just one nice place to create a report and we hope that makes it easier and just more intuitive to create reports for you guys.

So I hope you enjoy this and please let us know what you think of the, of the updated features and let us know if there's anything else that you're excited about as far as reports go.

Thanks.

Bye.
