Brand Kit Walkthrough 🎨

Hi all.

I just wanted to give you a quick walkthrough of the updated brand kit page.

I'm currently on the page and I will start by adding a new brand kit.

So I will pick a brand guideline I have locally on my device.

You will see we display the amount of pages that are in the brand kit.

And in my case I know that this brand guideline document more than is actually needed for the brand kit itself.

So what I will do is I will pick a couple of pages here I can basically easily deselect or select all pages.

I will in my case for example select the first four by using Shift click I can select a range or if I just click any of the individual pages itself I can also select them that way.

So this is done.

I'm happy with the pages I've selected.

Now I will just pick a name which will be Meridian in my case and I will create a draft.

As soon as the draft is created you will see that a new entry appears within the list.

this happens all in the background so there is no need for you to keep an eye on this.

however if you would want to do that there is this status column in which you can follow all the steps the agent is going through and also what it's actually actually executing upon.

this way you get more insights into what's happening and you can also correct it or see when something goes wrong.

Basically when I click here on the open draft I will go to the detail page and on the detail page again that same information is being reflected.

So the statuses throughout the process and then also placeholders for what the brand kit will look like.

So going back to an actual finished one.

So this one is ready for review.

It went through all the steps.

On the page itself you will get an overview of the palette, the typography, the logos, the imagery, the brand rules and also a couple of sample slides at the bottom.

each of these sections is inline editable which means that for example you want to switch a color up here in the palette.

You can just move around change the color.

You can check the contrast instantly and when you apply it will actually re render the SA at the bottom of the page.

So you can get an overview of what the newly updated color in a slide would look like for the typography.

let's say you have a licensed font you want to use.

You can just upload it directly here.

you can also easily change any of the Fonts that were suggested by using any of the built in fonts simply by clicking and applying them.

for the logos, these are sorted by their role.

So the importance of the role is that whenever the deck agent reads the brand rules based on the role, it will make sure that it always picks the correct logo to put on the slide.

a couple of things you can do here.

Again you can replace them so you can upload your own logo or upload a new logo.

and you can also change the role.

If you think that for example this one, the on dark is not really the best one to use on a dark background, then you can decide to change the rule there.

You also always have the option to add additional logos if you would desire.

So for the imagery, again same thing, the same trend continues.

So all these sections edit will inline.

I can just click on the edit icon here and then I can make additions or remove certain lines within this text.

For the brand rules, there are two ways to view the brand rules.

First of all there is the formatted way which gives you these nice sections, nice titles, etc.

And then there is the markdown, which is the way that the agent would actually read it.

Within the formatted and within the markdown, style of viewing, you can always edit any of these brand rules that are defined.

You can also just click on any of the sections and then make additions, remove lines, update sections, etc.

At the bottom you will find the sample slides.

So here you will notice that we updated the actual one of the colors and the swatches of the top and this is the result.

underneath that you have the source documents.

Here you will see, for example, this is the document we've uploaded with the 40 pages and we selected the first four of them.

If you would like to update the pages, you can always do that.

So when you click on the change pages and rerun, you select a new set of pages and then it will rerun the agent on the entire brand kit and regenerate.

So now I'm happy with what I've actually gotten by the agent, I will click on the activate button.

So now this will become the default for any slide tag that is being generated.

And when you go back to the overview you will get this top bar in which you can see which brand kit is currently or which brand kit rather is currently active and how it would look like in practice.

That's pretty much it.

if there are any questions around this or any feedback, please let us know.

Thanks.
