New Desktop Screen Sharing Controls 🖥️

Hi everyone.

so another quick video about a new feature we just launched.

and it's a very small one, but also a very nice one.

so I'll quickly show it.

So it used to be the case like in Conveyo always you could do screen sharing, on desktop browsers, but it used to be the case that it was a toggle that you either turn on or turn off and then it would be on for the whole interview.

also when sometimes you only wanted a few questions where people had to, share their screen.

So with this small update, we have fixed this, so we've given you a bit more flexibility.

so as of today in the study settings you can go to the screen sharing part and then you can still select what they should share.

But you can now also configure, if we should record the entire interview, which is of course still possible, and then they have to share their screen during the whole interview.

But we can also now choose to only turn on screen sharing for selected questions or sections.

So you can turn it on on an individual question or you can turn it all for whole sections so that all questions inside those sections, have screen sharing enabled.

And so, that gives you a bit more control, for when screen sharing should be turned on, which then also makes it so that in the recordings you only see people screen for the parts that they, are supposed to turn on their screen, which is, which gives a bit of a cleaner, recording, to look at.

And so of course, we now support screen sharing on desktop, which has this use case of toggling it on or off.

And you can also do screen sharing in the mobile app, but here it's always recording the full screen, because there we can put the screens side by side.

So this is an upgrade for desktop screen sharing.

and then just to quickly show what it looks like, I've set up a small example study here.

But you can see here in the topic guides we have section one, which has two questions in it.

And I've turned on screen sharing for, this whole section.

So it's here in the menu you can configure section screen sharing, which then also disables it for the individual questions inside it.

Right, because it's turned on for the whole section.

And then you can also do it of course on an individual question.

so in this case I've turned it on for question six, which is then the screen sharing enabled for that question.

But then, for example, the questions that come before that or after that, do not request require screen sharing.

So question five and question seven in this case.

So, yeah, that's it.

It's just a very small upgrade.

But now you have small controls.

either you turn on screen sharing for the whole interview, you can do it on a section level, or on individual questions, and that then, shows up in the video recordings.

Okay, see you.

Bye.

Bye.
