Connecting Flow to ChatGPT 🤖

Hey everyone.

Darren here from Flow.

I just wanted to do a quick demo on how to connect Flow to Chat GPT.

So you'll see throughout the app there's several places that say Run Run Outreach and Claude or run outreach in ChatGPT.

all of them bring you to this page here inside of your settings.

You can also get here by going to Settings and then going over to Connect AI Assistant.

You'll see connections here for several different platforms, but any platform that allows you to connect an mcp, this will work with.

An MCP is just a universal way for apps to talk to each other, through AI.

so I am going to go straight down here to API keys and I'm going to create a new key and I'm going to call this demo and we'll do October 1st and create that.

This is your API key.

this is what you can use to interact with the API.

This is also what gives you tells our MCP that you are who you say you are and that you can interact with your data.

This right here is the actual URL, that you'll use anywhere you want to connect mcp.

So just come to this MCP connector URL and copy this.

All right, now I'm going to go over to Chat GPT.

Over here on the left hand side you'll see the plugins option.

And then if you come over here to add, you can go to Create MCP app.

And then we'll just call this Flow AI.

And here it says Connection.

So I'm going to paste in that URL that was from Flow.

And then for authentication I'm going to turn this off because we're actually using authentication through the URL itself.

So there's no need to do any kind of like login.

After you connect this, then, just cover their legal stuff and we click Create.

All right, now we say Connect Flow.

Flow AI is connected.

And you'll see here inside of plugins, there's Flow, right here.

And then from there you can click on Try in Chat and then we'll say can you show me my lists?

And so now that is going to look at all the tools, behind the scenes of what it can use to interact with Flow.

Then it's going to recognize, okay, I'm wanting to go to this app and look to show me my lists, it's going to pull those up.

So if we go over here, come back to run Outreach, we'll see.

I have Five right here, so it should pull those through.

All right, so it says I have five lists, all paused.

and then I can say, you know, like if I wanted to do something, like let's go find somebody that I am connected to.

so let's just use Chris Bakken here.

Can you go and like Chris Bakking's most recent LinkedIn message or LinkedIn post for me.

And so this will prove that like it's actually is going through flow to Meltington and acting on that.

so it says first I'm going to look for Chris Bakken and then let me go find him on LinkedIn.

All right, Chris did not have any posts so I went back and told it can you actually do this for James?

so now it's going to go and do that.

So if I pull up James's profile here, you'll see that he has a post from an hour to go.

I have not liked it yet.

And then we can wait for the MCP to go and do that action.

Alright, so it returned the post.

I think I got confused because I asked about LinkedIn messages.

So it said I haven't messaged him before.

and so I said can you like the post?

It did pull through, his latest post and it says now it's liked it.

So if I go back to LinkedIn now, you'll see right there it just automatically updated that I liked it.

So, this is how you can connect flow to ChatGPT and start to interact with LinkedIn.

you can build it out visually and then copy the prompt, give that to your AI and then you're off to the races.
