In this video I will walk through the translate subtitles feature.

00:04

So essentially this lets you translate your subtitles from your original language.

00:08

So in my case this video is English to another language like Spanish or French or Chinese for your viewers.

00:16

So when you're in your video, if you head over to the subs tab, you'll see this option that says Global English Original.

00:24

That means that my video was originally recorded in Global English.

00:30

So if I click on this, we're now able to add additional translations.

00:34

So let's say I wanted to support Spanish.

00:37

I could add Spanish and it'll translate it and this takes a few minutes depending on how long your video is.

00:44

so let it run.

00:45

And it's in Spanish now.

00:47

we can also add French for any French viewers.

00:51

Again it's going to translate it from English to French.

00:56

You can see 15 of 34.

00:58

Okay.

00:58

will.

00:58

So for the fun of it add some Chinese.

01:02

so yeah, it's translating to Chinese now.

01:05

And boom.

01:06

it's in Chinese as well.

01:07

you can edit these subtitles like you would normally do.

01:10

So if something is wrong here you can edit it like normal, just like that.

01:16

yeah, you can also download the SRT or the web VTT file for each translation.

01:23

something to flag is if you are making cuts in your video.

01:28

I don't know, let's say I made this cut and undo it.

01:30

But if I made that cut, it would prompt you to regenerate the subtitles here because parts of your video will be missing.

01:38

And we can also adjust the default subtitle language that is shown to our viewers.

01:45

So by default it's the viewers language.

01:48

So whatever language is on their computer.

01:49

So let's say it's Spanish.

01:51

Automatically by default switch the subtitles to Spanish.

01:56

But you can also force it here.

01:57

So let's say I wanted to switch it to English original only.

02:01

I can do that.

02:02

The viewer can still change it on the view page and I'll show you what that looks like in just a second.

02:08

But I like to leave it on viewers language so it can adapt by itself.

02:13

So if we switch the view page now and go to CC here.

02:20

So captions you can see that by default it's on original.

02:24

So the original language that was recorded was English.

02:27

I have used in English.

02:28

So it's in English.

02:29

You, can switch it to Spanish.

02:30

So if I switch it to Spanish, the subtitles you can see will switch to Spanish.

02:35

Same thing with French and same thing with Chinese.

02:40

or you can turn it off like usual.

02:41

I'm just going to leave it on original for me.

02:43

you can also actually export your video in one of the different languages that you translate to.

02:50

So let's say Chinese, French or Spanish.

02:54

And one thing to flag is that we allow only up to 10 translations.

03:00

so you can add up to 10 different languages here for your subtitles to be translated to, but no more than 10.

03:08

Yeah, so it's pretty much this feature.

03:10

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
