In this video we will discuss uploading documents and the flow of information within demurrage claims in the Voyager system.
00:09
Here I have a claim with a port call already allocated.
00:13
I have my cargo information included.
00:16
This is key if I want to use any automatic cargo tagging.
00:20
In the parser, I'm going to go ahead and upload my documents either on this new Upload Documents button or by going to the Documents tab and dragging and dropping or uploading from here.
00:32
You can see your progress here in the tab with a little icon indicating that it's processing.
00:38
You can leave this page and come back to it later.
00:41
It will still keep running in the background.
00:43
To see the PDF, click on the open button.
00:45
Once the parsing is complete, you'll see your document on the left hand side.
00:51
If you have multiple bundles, you'll see them at the top and you can remove them by clicking this X.
00:56
On the right hand side you can see a search bar and some filter pills based off of issuer and port allocation.
01:05
You'll also see any warnings about missing required documents.
01:10
These are just warnings and you can click the X to remove if they're not applicable.
01:16
If you scroll down you can see the different categories of documents and what was found.
01:21
In this case we found a claim invoice, two NORs, nine SOFs and six other documents.
01:28
If I click expand to the SOF, I can see all of the SOFs that were identified and I can click on the hyperlink to go directly to the page.
01:40
I see that this was for the port of Galveston, but it is not allocated to a port call.
01:46
You can see with this little icon here.
01:50
If I click on the three dots I can link to an existing port call or create a port call directly from the document.
01:59
I'll link this one to Galveston.
02:01
Now I can see Galveston has found two documents and all my others are unallocated.
02:08
I can go ahead and click on this and it will show me everything found for Galveston.
02:14
In this case I just have the two SOFs I can select one or multiple documents to download directly from here.
02:21
I can also select all or clear my selection.
02:25
Let me allocate my other documents as well.
02:28
I can create port calls directly from here and I'll have all of the options from the master data.
02:34
You can also do the SOF allocation from the main claim page.
02:39
You'll see the same warnings here.
02:43
I'll go ahead and clear those out.
02:44
You can see how many SOFs that were detected but unallocated to port calls.
02:50
I can select one or many of these and either link to an existing port call or create a new port call.
03:01
Now I can go directly into the parser by clicking on Open sof.
03:04
The breadcrumb menu shows this is within the Galveston port call, and I can see that all the sofs were put individually onto this port.
03:13
This allows me to compare SOF events between different documents without repeating the events.
03:20
Right now, the first one is allocated as primary as the main.
03:25
From here I can go ahead and validate my parsing.
03:29
From here I am taken into the port the port call lead time calculation and I can easily filter for just my bookmarked or favorited events for the calculation.
03:41
They're by default highlighted with the others grayed out.
03:45
I can click on this filter to toggle on show only events in the calculation.
03:51
Now I can quickly do my additions and deductions for this example.
03:58
If I toggle this off I can see all of my other events and decide if something needs to be included as well.
04:07
Or I can remove any of my default ones as well.
04:11
If you add or remove any manually, you'll see a little icon here to indicate a manual adjustment The settings you apply for this filter will carry over to your future work and you can clear all from here as well.
04:27
You also can remove the bookmark highlighting if you prefer just to see every event and whatever is bold here will carry over to the statement in this video you've seen how using the document detection feature to allocate specific PDFs to your port calls and then using the bookmarked SOF feature to filter for your most frequently used ones is an efficiency to working your lay time calculations and it also greatly improves the quality of your data for port analytics.
