Resourcing Redesign Overview 📊

Hi and thanks for your interest in the Resourcing Redesign beta.

as you can see this screen that I'm showing you is what you are currently used to if you have not turned on the resourcing redesign feature.

So as you can see you're resourcing across different people etc.

Now if I turn it on.

So basically I'm going to go to Settings Beta features Resourcing Redesign Beta assuming you have admin access.

So once you turn it on it is enabled now for all the users in your account who manage or view resourcing.

So now if I go back to the resourcing by person page as I was earlier, you will see a revamped interface preserving the functionality that you are used to in terms of managing all your people and placeholders across the the company working on different projects.

And as before you have the filters and ability to filter, add columns et cetera.

with a little bit of a revamped kind of like colors and styles in terms of how we denote free, partially booked and fully booked slots in your projects and Now this interface is applied to all the different places where you manage resourcing other than by availability.

But you can see it in by person, by project.

My resourcing.

Let's now jump into a specific project.

So let's say Moon Landing, which happens to be a budget level resource project.

but essentially the interface has been uniformly applied whether it's a budget level resource or a project level resource project.

And then here you can see that in terms of your budgets, you see them the staffing that works across the different budgets.

1 cleanup we have done is that no longer is the same.

If a user is not resourced on subsequent budgets then they don't show which hopefully cuts down on some unnecessary noise in managing your budget level resource projects.

If you were to want to show all the people assigned to the project in the budget, you can just quickly click click on the show unresource people and then that shows that.

But then by default you can keep that unticked to really focus on the folks that you are resourcing for specific budgets.

And same with high show group.

You can group things by various aspects of things that you used to be able to do earlier.

just in a interface with the side drawer kind of treatment here.

Okay, and then if I jump back into Resourcing by project or any of the screens which allow me to manage things across projects like the by project or the by person view.

you will see that now we have the ability to not just manage your project level resource projects but also manage all your budget level resource projects in line.

So you no longer have to go into a project to manage your budget level resource project.

So everything can be managed in this global view.

So hopefully that helps you quickly run your portfolio resourcing sessions across all different projects.

So whether that's like in the by project or by person you will be able to now manage that.

And last but not the least, let's kind of also show the ability to bulk shift your project.

So let's say you have a project which is let's say moon landing which is for some reason has to be shifted out by three months.

So instead of having to move every individual person one by one.

So now you can just say shift project and then if you want to move it out three months let's say you can just do that.

A click of a button and same with budgets, same with the persons assigned to budget or a project.

So you can assign all those using this bulk shift feature and as you are making changes.

So let's say I allocate 10 hours to Denzel Washington for Acme Services and they realize it's a mistake.

So just like an Excel or a spreadsheet kind of interface, you will also have the ability to quickly undo, redo just trying to provide you as many of conveniences inspired by quick spreadsheet functions that you'll see more and more of as we continue to roll things out in the resourcing surface.
