For those of you who've been using it regularly, everything that makes it work is still there.
00:06
We've just rebuilt the experience on top of it.
00:09
it's now faster, clearer and more focused on the things that matter most, helping you stay organized, get started and know where you need to be and when.
00:18
In this video, we're going to walk through six of the key changes, so let's jump right in.
00:23
So I've opened the desktop app starting on the home page and this is where you land when you first open Boost and you'll notice the changes straight away.
00:32
At, the top you've still got your current and next event.
00:36
We surface the start time, the event title, and you now also have a live countdown to that event plus the location.
00:44
So you can look at Boost and know exactly where you need to be and when.
00:47
Below that is your priority task.
00:50
Instead of showing you every task that you have for the day, we're now servicing the single highest priority one for you to focus on.
00:58
That shows the task title, the due date, how many checklist steps are ticked off, and the next step for you to complete.
01:05
There's also a next priority task button below it.
01:09
it isn't time for this task or you want to focus on something else, Boost will find the next highest priority task for you.
01:16
While we're here, let's do a quick bit of housekeeping.
01:19
If we head to the account section and then to display preferences, you can now switch between dark mode, light mode, and your built in user system settings.
01:29
Let's go ahead and stay on Dark mode for now.
01:32
Now let's head over to tasks and this is one of the biggest updates to boost.
01:36
First up, high, medium and low prioritization is gone.
01:40
It's now must do, will do, might do, and not important.
01:44
If I hit the Filter tab here at the top, you can filter by those same categories as well as some of the due date options that are available.
01:51
You can also now change your entire view based on these options.
01:55
If we head to the top right corner of the screen to this no Grouping tab.
02:00
From here you can choose to set to, choose your view by importance or you can go through and choose by due date so you can see things that are due today, in the next seven days later, or haven't been scheduled yet.
02:14
There's also a toggle in the menu to expand your cards.
02:18
We currently show the first checklist item on that task.
02:22
If you find that extra detail a bit distracting, you can switch it off.
02:26
It's naturally on by default, but the choice is yours whether or not to keep it.
02:31
Now let's head over to calendars.
02:33
So in Calendars, we've made a few changes to help you see your events more clearly.
02:37
You've still got your next event highlighted, but with the countdown and location surfaced, we've also made clashes calmer and clearer to resolve, with simple options for sorting them out.
02:53
At the top of your screen, you can toggle between days, but you can also open, up views into week and month by clicking the little day button at, the top of the screen.
03:04
Open up your week view and you have a clearer overview of everything that's coming up and going on in the future.
03:10
Now let's take a look at Quick Add.
03:12
You'll see the Add button in the top left of your screen.
03:15
We wanted this to be the fastest way to get something out of your head and into Boost.
03:20
Simply tap the Add button, toggle between events and tasks.
03:25
Then all you'll need to do is set a due date for your task, set an importance.
03:29
If you like, we'll use Must do for this example.
03:33
Give it a title.
03:37
Then from here I can add the task, come back to it later and add some additional detail.
03:41
But if I want to go into that detail right now, I click on these two arrows here and this will expand into the full task view.
03:49
Once I'm in the full task view, I have the ability to update those, normal changes, add reminders, change my importance level, my color for example.
03:59
The big change and update here is actually in checklists.
04:03
If I tick into checklists, I can now add a checklist to any task item.
04:08
I can start by creating my own steps, building them out from scratch, or use one of our pre written templates.
04:15
We have a range of pre written templates for this task.
04:18
I'll pick the emailing template.
04:20
Once this template has been added, I can now change the order of steps.
04:26
I can also edit steps if I need to, need to edit them.
04:33
And I can add times, if I want to make sure I understand how long it takes me to complete a task.
04:42
So now you can easily break down any big task into smaller, more manageable steps.
04:48
Once my task is complete and I have all my details, I simply click save.
04:52
That's six of the key changes to this latest updated boost.
04:55
The full list of changes is documented on the website.
04:59
Please keep an eye out for more updates over the next few months.
05:02
