Okay, so this is how we do a mild yarn sweater using our make the dot, extraction skill and edit tools.

So first things we're going to do, we're going to find a reference photo.

I'm going to use the extract knit swatch and get that running in the background.

Now once that's extracted we can then riff off that yarn and create a number of different colors and patterns.

So first thing I'm going to do is we're going to take that original and let's make like a gray purply color from that.

Once we've done this we can now take any sketch and then apply that yarn color that we've extracted onto the sketch using the render tool here.

Same way as you would render a fabric in a color except go to the custom side and then click on the retain fabric color and then it's going to keep that same yarn color and texture from the swatch that we extracted and there you've got two different versions there in two different sketches.

So nice and easy.

And what's really cool about make the dot is as you can see it's run the extraction tool is running in the background while we're doing other things.

So you don't have.

It's not a linear workflow.

Now let's say we want to make further edits to this garments.

So we're going to click on the edit tool now and we're going to get it to change the color of the hem, the cuffs and the pocket.

That is generally fine for to make the changes but because we want specific parts of the garment changed we can use the brush tool to really speed specify what we want changing I.

E We don't want the whole pocket change just on the top so we can use the brush tool and we're going to brush the areas that we want to make the changes to.

So nice and easy doing that.

And once you've brushed the area, just act and link it to the reference that we just made.

So the red area there and then tell it what we wanted to change it to be as specific as possible.

The more specific we are, the more precise the outcome is going to be.

Two talk to just as you would a design assistant.

Now we've got our render sorry our extraction of the gray purple version of that knit swatch.

So again we're taking, we're making variations of the swatch itself and then once we've got that.

Now we can use that in any further, styles that we create.

But first thing we're going to do is going to save that into our library.

Just generally good practice, but also as this is now building up as our fabric library, we can use it in other fabrics and other.

Sorry, in other styles going forward.

And also we can send this to PLM once you've linked all the fabric composition, and all the other technical data to it.

So again, everything is built with manufacturability in mind.

We're not just making pictures now.

Let's go and take that other sweater, link it to our new purple gray fabric using the same method over there and then render out a couple of different, different versions in front of us.

So a nice easy way to go from reference photo to, a couple of different mild yarn variation styles in, in the same sort of workspace.
