Completing Your First Roleplay in Exec 🎙️

Hello.

In this video, I'm going to be walking you through doing your very first roleplay in Exec.

Now when you first log into the platform, you'll be taken to your homepage, which looks like this.

You can see here we've got a handful of courses that I am working through.

I've got a couple of programs and I can go directly to the AI roleplays through the button here or I can click on the role plays here in the left tab to go to my dashboard.

Now the very first thing you will see from the dashboard is your assigned to me role plays.

These are any scenarios that I have been assigned, via like a program or a course or maybe my manager assigned one off for me to practice.

so these are the first ones I would want to go through and tackle and make sure I get those assignments, out of the way.

If I continue down, you'll see any role plays I've recently done.

And if I continue even further down, I will find any role plays that I have personally created.

Now in this case I'm going to actually show this, checking in during a sales slump scenario which I did create.

So here we've got a Pedro Hernandez, who's an account executive at bridgepoint Solutions.

And I can see his face here.

We can see over on the right we've got your objective.

So I need to uncover the root cause of a direct reports declining performance by asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating genuine curiosity.

If I scroll down, I can find the actual scenario, context here to read through.

So I've got here that you know, I'm a sales manager at bridgepoint Solutions and I need to talk with Pedro who seems to be struggling and his numbers have been off for the past several weeks.

So I've got a handful of situation dynamics about Pedro and what's going on.

I have the objective here along with some outcomes to avoid.

And here at the bottom I've got the evaluation criteria, also known as the scoring rubric, which is all the different points that I'm going to be evaluated on when doing this role.

awesome.

Now before you do begin, you will, if it's your very first time doing a roleplay, you will need to enable your microphone and video settings.

So when you first begin session it will ask you do be sure to allow that.

But if you ever have any issues with that, you can obviously check your audio and confirm it here as well as just in like Chrome or Safari, whatever settings you use on your Computer.

Now, if everything here looks good, then you will go ahead and press begin session.

I'm going to walk through about a one minute or so conversation with Pedro and then we will look into feedback, the transcript and AI coach right after.

Awesome.

I'm going to skip the intro audio so we can get right to it.

Yeah, absolutely.

Pedro.

Well, how have things been for you so far?

How was your weekend?

yeah, not too bad.

I did not do hiking myself.

it was a little too hot for me, so I just stayed at home and watched some sports, all the good stuff.

But yeah, awesome.

Pedro.

Well, hey, I know it's Monday and we're looking to just get right into, the week, but I wanted to take some time to just sort of chat and see sort of where your head's at going into this week and, just figure out what sort of things are.

Just what's going on in your mind.

Yeah, that's totally fair.

Well, you know, help me understand a little bit about what's happened and what's happened over these past couple weeks.

That's just, you know, kind of making you feel a little bit blocked.

Okay.

Yeah, I can only imagine how frustrating that that's got to feel.

but you know, why don't we walk through and just, just talk through exactly what happened there.

Tell me how the deal progressed.

Awesome.

from here you will press on the green end button and if you want to restart, you can press here on the replay button or you can just simply press X to cancel.

In this case, I'm going to press the green end button and we can look over my, feedback.

Now I've already done this roleplay, so I'm just going to click right back over to it and press on my sessions.

So you can see that I've recently scored 100% on this roleplay, but at one point I was at bronze and I slowly worked my way up.

Let's go and look at one of these silver sessions to see, what the feedback and analytics look like here.

So very first thing you will see is, your scorecard.

So you see I received a 79% or a silver and I have my objective obtainment, what went well and the room for improvement.

It's just a general summary, but if I scroll down, I will find the same evaluation criteria from the original scenario, but broken out into these different cards that I can open up and read through, my feedback.

So for example, here I see that my demonstrating non judgmental presence, I seem to have missed the Mark here.

So I have examples of what I said, things that I may have been able to say better for this.

And if I don't want to read through all of this information, I can just click directly on my AI coach and have a direct conversation with them to practice through this.

Let's have a quick conversation.

Yeah, I'm a little confused as to how I failed to demonstrate non judgmental presence.

I feel like I was pretty non judgmental through this conversation.

Okay.

Hey, is there any way that you and I can just practice that part of the conversation together real quick?

Cool.

Awesome.

and last thing to take note of is I can click over onto the recording tab to see the actual call transcript.

I can download the audio file, I can copy it or just download the text transcript.

And if I wanted to share this session off with my manager, I can simply press on the share button, type in their email and send it away with little message as well.

So that was doing your very first roleplay in Exec.
