Skill- Extract a Swatch & Create a Render

So go into your board here, and then open up the agent.

Just click on here and then you're going to see a number of different like fast actions.

So what you want to do is go into the skill section and go into Marketplace.

And then this is the skill here, here.

Right, so rendering it so the stitch survives.

So this is the skill here.

So just click installed and then it's going to be available on the my, my skills section.

So what this is going to do is twofold.

Number one, it's going to take a swatch from, from a reference photo and it's going to save that swatch into your library as well as all of the technical information.

So you can then use that, have that as a production swatch to then use for, for any iterations you're going to do when you actually make a garment.

And number two is going to create the render from the reference image.

So it's kind of a two fold, scale.

So then go back into here and okay, so this is our source photo.

So there's a reference image.

So basically what we want to do is can we take this and then create a render from it and then obviously then edit that render thereafter, playing with the colors, the lighting lights and the colors, the the knit type, the gauge, the any graphics, etc.

Etc.

So start here.

I'm going to show you one I did earlier.

Go into here.

And then it's gonna just quickly take a second to load up.

So I'll show you the step by step, by step.

Okay, cool.

There we go.

Right, so what you do is right at the top so you can see it.

Okay, so let's click on this, and then let's use the, use the skill.

And then it's going to ask you a couple of questions.

So it's like firstly, do you want to just run the sketch, do we have a sketch or do we want to also make the sketch?

So go with this one.

This is the better.

This is the flood recommend.

And then it's going to start to work.

It's going to be about five different steps.

then after that it's going to ask you kind of what, what sort of stitch you want, what color you want.

So you want to keep the fabric's own color or if you have your own specific color, click on that.

then it's going to keep working and then it's going to Ask you, do you what like do you want any off white of that same structure for, for your tech pack or for you guys to use to make go into actual your own dying process?

So it depends.

yeah, I go yes, and generate both so I can use it for, for production.

Or if you just want the, the actual sketch switch swatch itself and click on that and it's going to do a bit more work and it's going to ask you a couple more questions.

Do you want to save it to your fabric, fabric library?

I'd say yes definitely because then you can use it going forward and then it's going to go ahead and pull.

The first thing it's going to do is then pull the, pull the swatch from the from the photo and then create all of the technical data data behind it, the gauge size, the yarn count, all of this info.

And then it's going to make your technical sketch for you, your flat sketch which you can use in your, in your tech pack.

So you're going to start here and then it's going to give you these three outputs.

So this is basically just the image that it pulled out.

This is the actual swatch itself which is then saved into your library.

And then this is the technical black and white that you can use into your tech pack or you can vectorize and make, make changes to if you should, if you should wish or you can edit with the, with the edit mode.

So that's going to be the first, the, the first three things it's going to give you, and it's going to give you it.

In this this box over here it's going to make an artboard for you.

Then after that it's then gonna now take the swatch, apply it onto here.

You don't have to do anything.

You'll see it running and it's going to create the render for you with all the metadata linked to it.

and then if it's not match the exact like gauge count or coarseness it'll call it out.

So you see here it looks, looks pretty good but it's a little bit, the yarn is a little bit coarser than the, the original.

So then it's called that out over here and then from here.

Then now you're in your design flow.

You can either edit it using the edit mode.

so make, if you want to make it less coarse you can just go in here to make it less coarse.

or you can then yeah, play with the guy with the pattern.

add different artwork on top and get it to rendering different artwork and more of the editing side of things, which the next couple of videos will show you, how to do.
