Extract Swatch Skill

So the first thing is like how to, extract a knit, swatch, basically.

So we've got this reference photo which we got from the web.

and let's say you want to take this, the swatch, in the same colors and everything, and then riff on it and create like a new design.

So you're going to the agents, just open it up like this, go into your skills, and then you'll see this.

These two new skills that we've developed.

So the first one is, is going to take that knit, swatch from the photo, and the second one is going to do the, do the rendering for us.

But I'm just going to focus on this one, this one for now.

So it's going to here and then click Extract knit from the photo skill.

And then it's going to ask us to a couple of questions.

what do we want to extract?

Do we want to just extract the color?

Do you want to extract the texture?

Do you want to try the color and the texture?

Do you want to replicate the same construction type, for example?

and then it's going to extract both the sketch, as well as the, the swatch itself.

So this will take about like a couple of minutes.

good to do the full task because we've got quite a number of different steps.

And you'll see now it's working through the, it's working through the steps.

it's picked up what the, the rib hem is, what's the panels, what's the stitch type?

and then it's gonna, gonna ask us a couple of questions and keep working through.

But, then once it's done, this is how it comes out.

So it's pulled the swatch and you see, this is like really, really good.

this is what it, it pulled out as well.

And then it also generated the sketch.

Now obviously then you can either use a sketch and generate it into a different, a different yarn, or you can then take this and use it into it, use it on a different sketch.

So that's what I'm going to do next.

So then we can go into, into this guy here.

And then I'm gonna use edit mode, so go on to here.

And then I'm going to link it back to, to this guy and I'm just going to tell it to render, in fabric.

And then it's got two options here.

You can either basically tell it to follow the, the, the, the, the, the exact pattern of the sketch or if you don't tell it anything, it's just going to follow the the pattern of the yarn from the, from the swatch.

So it's just going to follow this swatch pattern.

rather than follow, the.

Follow the sketch.

But I wanted to follow the sketch.

Again, be as specific as you, as, as you want to see here.

I told to follow the sketch, followed the sketch, but then it didn't it that it went imagined a little bit on the, on the color.

and I want to keep the color consistency the same.

And I've also added it into my library.

you can also add it into library and then just link it directly from, from there.

But I'm just going to link it again and then run it.

And then once you just for like good practice when you've done, when it's rendered the swatch, you see it's asking me some questions.

Do we want to keep the original D colors?

Do we want to die to specific color?

Now let's say you want to render this.

Take the swatch.

But then you've got your own swatches that you, that, that their own colors that you want to link it into.

You can just do that way or you can just do it undyed.

just keep the structure of the, of the, of the yarn.

But I want to keep the original colors.

now what you can also do as like good practice, once you've, once it's pulled the swatch out, just go to add to library and then go into fabrics.

and then you can get it added to the library.

Then you can use it repeatedly in different sketches.

and then see now here, what is it?

What does it want?

do we want unstructured dye alongside the color version?

we can use a tech pack or just want to color swatch only.

I'm just going to take the color swatch and then it's going to go and go in and do that and then we can use it in the render itself and I'm going to get it to save it directly into my fabrics rather than doing that second step, which is adding it from the board and I can use it in my fabrics, going forward.
