Alpha Anywhere: A Guide for Parents

So let's go to the parent view and the parent view, will start on the dashboard like this.

Now your parent Parent view is sitting at Parent Alphaanywhere Co it's the same place that you likely began your enrollments minus a few families who have been with us for a very, very long time.

this is where all other families started the journey.

you went and did the diagnostic testing here.

we've tried to pull everything back to this one place.

So when it comes to where do I go for X or where do I go for Y, it's always this one place.

So you've got a lot of abilities here too.

So when you start when again we're looking at sort of a contextual example here.

But when you start, we're going to start you with the option to go through and it is recommended to go through this brief parent orientation here at the top.

And just to get yourself basically familiar with the lay of the land.

It can be disorienting starting a program like AlphaAnywhere, and sort of getting used to how it works because it is a strong contrast from traditional education and what a lot of us did when we were younger.

So this is highly recommended.

Once you complete it, it might sit there for a little while reminding you that it's here and you can revisit it whenever you like.

This next blue box is specific for summer families.

it's just a quick way for them to enroll in the full program.

If you don't see that, don't worry.

The third box here is for live support sessions.

We still host these as of the time we're shooting this informative video for you where you can use this portal to jump right into those sessions.

Those are hosted by our parent experience and program advisor teams, often visited by our academic teams as well, where you can ask questions and get answers, if you prefer sort of live back and forth rather than email or chat support.

So those are offered with times upcoming right here and again just clicking the Join the zoom, 10 minutes before the next session starts.

You can jump right into that session.

Now you also have a preview in box number four showing you what your learner, your child has upcoming on their calendar.

You saw this over in their view.

You have a similar view here.

The next section here is the name of your advisor and the Ability to book a call.

Again if you.

The group format doesn't make sense, chat doesn't make sense, email doesn't make sense.

You've got something that might take a little bit longer to explain or more context.

every family is paired with an advisor.

You can book a call with that advice right here.

Super easy.

Then we have sort of the ability to jump into our child's account.

Now just like you saw over in the child's view, we have a left menu here with a lot of places for you to jump.

If we go to manage accounts before I click on this child's account, if we go to manage account, you can see this is like where I would make billing decisions, profile edits, things like that.

I'm not going to go too far into that.

I just want you to know that it's there.

and then the feed, we try and push information to your feed in real time where we can help meet you with the communication based on what's happening with your child's academic progress so that you can understand, support and work with us collaboratively to help support your child's learning journey.

So rather than sending bulk emails and assuming everyone's at the same place, you might need a contextual message which you can find right here in the feed.

Now if we go down to learners which I've just clicked on, we'll give this a minute.

Here is your ability to sort of get an eye into how your student is progressing a day at a time, a week at a time, along with a lot of other really helpful views.

And you can see, I've chosen the same student here so if I go back a day to yesterday, you can see all of these again are filled in except for writing the same thing we just saw on the student view.

Now yes, this does say the daily goal is missed with six out of seven subjects.

But remember that writing was supplemental.

That may have been okay.

It may be a family design we do recommend.

Everything else is completed though to maximize the learning speed and growth of your child.

Now if I wanted to click on either of any of these subjects, we'll just choose math and jump into one.

So you can see the example.

You get a pretty good digest here of where they've been, what they've done, the app they've been in, the working accuracy they were working at, the XP they earned and the date that it occurred.

Really, really good digest.

I don't know that I need to go further into this, but I could scroll around and just show you like what did my child do on Thursday?

You can go back and see what your child did on Thursday and you'll get a similar view for all of the subjects.

Now if I click over to mastery, we're going to get a slightly different view.

Mastery is going to be more based on grade levels rather than individual skills.

So you get this sort of this graph view showing the grade levels as your child progresses through each of those end of grade level mastery tests when it occurred and what the results were.

And there's some really good hover dynamics here.

And obviously for the ones that are flat like these here, you can see the test was not mastered.

That was an 88.

This was an 84.

Again, 90 and up is all that counts, which is why the grade level did not advance.

And this is perfectly normal.

It is designed into the program that the child's not going to, going to likely pass every single test on the first attempt.

It might take a few.

When that happens, they're going to get served whole filling skills based around the questions that they missed on the test.

And so what you see here is one attempt, pass.

One attempt, pass.

One attempt, pass.

And then it took two unsuccessful attempts before we got the pass again.

Again, totally normal.

This gives mom or dad a great view into what happened and when within each subject.

Super helpful.

Right?

And if I change subject, we'll change data, and you can see the curves all change.

Very, very cool.

Super easy to use.

If I flip over to the schedule, this is an eyeball into my student's schedule.

this is going to start to flesh out soon with life skills expansion and kids who are getting into coaching rhythms.

You'll see all of these sort of synchronous time demands of your child when they need to be somewhere and what it's for right here in this easy, easy, excuse me menu to glimpse into their schedule reports.

Hey, check this out.

you have the ability to choose a start and an end date and generate an academic transcript.

Now why is an academic transcript so valuable?

So remember we are a program, not a school.

So if you decide later that your goals have been met here and you want to move on from alpha anywhere and take you sort of what my child did here inside this accredited program, choose a start date and an end date and hit.

Generate transcripts right here and you'll get a wonderfully gorgeous Report showing you and you can use for anything you'd like what your child was able to master while they were here.

It's very cool.

I want to make sure that you all know this is here and then if you'd like to pan down and look at kind of where things started, kind of a good glimpse back to the past.

This is that assessment, your child took back when they started here, you've got a reference for that as well.

and by the way, I'm not going to go into the learning plan, but the learning plan is, is right here as well.
