Getting Started with Atom Grants

Hi, I'm Tomer, one of the co founders of Atom grants.

and welcome to Atom.

you've already logged in for the first time.

I'm just going to show you around Atom to get you more familiar.

So on the left you have your navbar.

there's five different sections, that you can go through.

The first that we're going to talk about is the search page.

this is kind of the home of Atom.

This is where you can of come in and do your own searches.

we use something called semantic search behind the scenes to do a lot of the matchmaking.

So a lot of you are probably used to keywords.

in semantic world you can actually use any piece of natural language.

So let's come over to a paper as an example.

I'm going to click into this one on the application of artificial neural networks and I can copy the entire abstract and actually drop that into the search bar here.

I'm going to go ahead and click search and this is actually going to start finding me funding opportunities based on the meaning behind that natural language.

The other couple of pages that you can see on the left here are the dashboard.

The dashboard is where we make recommendations based off of your research projects.

So I have a couple of projects already set up.

I have the Perovskite solar cells project and my core project that we set up for you based off of your public profiles that we pull in as part of your profile creation.

If you want to create a new project, you can either navigate over to the projects tab here or you can just hit new project here.

Go ahead and create a new project.

We're going to call this one AI and we can add some, eligibility, specific requirements for this project like more than $1 million.

And then I can ask the AI to actually generate these research interests for me based off of information that it can find about.

Awesome.

And then we're going to go ahead and create Project.

Cool.

As you can see, we have a new project here on the for you dashboard.

The other place you can get recommendations is in Deep Research.

So if we come over to Deep Research, we can actually go ahead and run a report generation.

This takes about five to 10 minutes.

So, so we're going to go ahead and run it and then we'll come back in a second.

Awesome.

So this is run and as you can see, you've got a report here with a list of funding opportunities built specifically for you, with a, plain English explanation of why we've identified that funding opportunity for you.

The last tab here is Favorites.

So once you've found an opportunity that you're interested in, just, just go ahead and save it to your Favorites list.

What this will do is it will notify you as modifications are made to the RFP and deadlines are approaching.

The other emails that we send out are actually a weekly, version of this report.

So keep your eye out on your email inboxes for something that looks like this.

This is your curated weekly opportunities list.

We'll go through all of the opportunities that we found that week and filter them down for things that you're going to be interested in based off of those research projects and that we know you're going to be eligible for.

Every single opportunity we sent through is also accompanied by a little brief explaining why we sent that through through, and also a percentage score fit to help you understand which are the best opportunities for you.

Once you've found the right opportunity, just go ahead and click View Grant.

This is going to take you back into the platform where you can see the grant listing and start to dig into things like the eligibility, all of the sources that we pull from, and actually see other researchers in the organization that might be a good fit for you to of collaborate with.

The final cool thing is we have this chat with RFP functionality, So if there's any information that you want to pull out of the RFP that isn't front and center, you can ask things like give me a chance, checklist, And our AI will actually go into the supporting documents, the sources, and extract that information directly for you.
