Set Up Your Tag v003

Once your Crumb order arrives, you're going to be able to set up your tag, or tags.

We recommend downloading the Crumb app, and logging into your account ahead of time.

It's going to make the whole setup process a lot more seamless.

If you don't have a smartphone, you can set up your tags using the dashboard in a browser, And we'll provide a link with instructions on that.

However, using a smartphone in the app is the method that we'd recommend you go with.

To get started, you can scan either the QR code on the welcome card, or you can scan any one of the tags that you have.

If you have multiple pets, don't worry.

The setup process is going to ask you questions about all of your pets.

Start by opening the camera app, and pointing it at the QR code.

Don't take a picture though, You're just waiting for it to focus.

You might have to move the camera farther back, or bring it a bit closer to make that happen.

Once you see a button with a link appear, go ahead and click that, and it's going to bring you to the beginning of the setup process, and then it's going to prompt you with questions about your pet, or pets.

When it's time to set up your pet's breed, you can select from any of the options in our list.

If your pet is a mixed breed and you don't see the name that you use for that particular mix, try and think of alternate names for that mix.

For example, "Cavoodle" might not be available, but perhaps "Cavapoo" is.

It may actually just be necessary to enter two or more of the breeds that make up that mix.

If you don't see "Goldendoodle" or "Groodle" or whatever you happen to call it, go ahead and look up "Golden Retriever." Click on that, then look up "Poodle", and click on that.

This will indicate that your dog is a mix between a Golden Retriever and a poodle.

If you're setting up multiple pets, please pay attention to which pet the question is about.

If you make a mistake, you can go back and correct it.

Almost all this information can be changed in the app after you complete the setup process.

Next, you're going to enter your home address.

If you ever need to mark a pet as missing, this information will determine the radius in which Crumb will send vet alerts, shelter alerts, and community alerts.

If you're entering a different home address from the one you used as your delivery address, the app will prompt you to enter the postal code from the delivery address, just to confirm your identity.

If you're having trouble getting past this part, you can contact customer support and we'll help you out.

You'll be given the option to upgrade your account to Crumb Premium after you review the information presented.

This optional upgrade unlocks the full power of the Crumb Premium network and maximizes your chances of having your pet returned if the worst should ever happen.

After a few quick messages, you'll be taken right to the homepage of the Crumb app.

From here, you can make any kind of changes to the information that you entered about your pets, or your own information.

You can add addresses, add contacts, change the primary contact, change the primary address, and so on.
