Build Your AI Second Brain with Screenpipe 🧠

Hey everyone.

I'm Louis, the founder of screenpipe.

And since 2020 I've been building my own second brain.

I will store everything that comes to my mind.

Project I'm working on, conversations I have with people, personal CRM, all the people in my life.

I would keep track of tasks, keep track of music I'm listening to, ingest all the software history in there.

and so I had this second brain starting to grow and One of my fundamental belief was that AI was going to become extremely intelligent.

The context window would be infinite and the latency was going to go down, the price was going to go down.

And so the only thing that was missing was the context.

and so I thought what if I just record my screen 24/7 and make it easy to search for AI?

So I built screenpipe which records everything you do 24/7 on your computer, local open source and make it easy for AI to search this memory and also to create automations on top of this memory.

And one of the common use cases is to build a personal wiki, a bit like Karpathy, which as you can see AI here keep tracks of all the people meeting with, meetings I have emails I'm sending decisions, companies agenda, and support like message support message I'm sending over discord intercom, all the discord channel, all the support channel ingested here.

and so screenpipe it's, it's a desktop app and you have a timeline a bit like if you used before Rewind AI it's a similar timeline and you have a chat and pipes is just agents that run schedule.

The automation I showed you this is a digital clone.

So it's just a prompt that say organize my people I'm meeting in my folder with like specific structure and I can show you it's local first I can show you how it looks like.

So you have a dot screenpipe in your home.

So screenpipe and So yeah it's kind of big.

You have, I have like a lot of stuff but you have pipes which are like the agents here and all your files are stored in a folder.

You have SQLite database and otherwise you have a bunch of MP4 files for audio and like screen recording.

We also capture your accessibility tree.

and just to run it it's just NPX screenpipe NPX exits it's going to record and you have you also have a lot of privacy filters and security features like you can filter specific windows, you can filter apps, windows, windows, URLs.

And we have our own AI model to remove PII, like password and secret, locally.
