today I wanted to quickly walk you through checkboxes in Anature and how checkbox grouping and validation works.

You might also hear these called radio buttons.

If you're working with a single checkbox, you've got a few simple options.

You can mark it as required, which means the recipient must select it in order to complete the envelope.

You can also pre check the box so it's already selected when they open it.

And if you mark it as read, only the recipient can see it, including whether it's been checked, but they won't be able to change it.

When you add multiple checkboxes to a document, you can highlight them and group them on the right hand side.

Once grouped, you'll see the option to apply group validation.

This is where you control how recipients can interact with those checkboxes.

For example, you can require the recipient to select a minimum number, a maximum number, or exactly a specific number of checkboxes.
