Hey everyone, I'm Malin from Fynch and in this video we are going to talk about Projects, Tasks and all the ways you can organize your work inside of Fynch.

So before I dive in, you might be saying, well, hang on, we already have our own project management tool and there's no way I'm switching.

My response to that is great, wonderful.

You don't need to switch.

Maybe you use Asana, maybe you use Jira, ClickUp, whatever it might be, all of those have MCP.

We support MCP.

Hop into our workspace.

You can check out the integrations tab and set up anything you want.

Push and pull to those existing tools to your heart content and continue to use Fynch for analytics, content and all the other amazing features that we have for you as well.

But if you do want to engage with it, I'm going to walk you through the different sections of how that works inside of the workspace here.

So to start, where we are is inside of work week.

If you're familiar with Agile or anything like that, you can think of this almost like your Sprint planning.

So these are really flexible containers essentially that hold projects and tasks.

So what happens here is your agent actually creates this for you each week, so it's automatically happening.

It's a way for you to think about what do I need to do this week?

you can see right now there's an active cycle for the current week.

But if I look at history or all cycles, you can see all of the completed, cycles that have closed each week and you can drill into those, if you want from previous weeks as well.

So diving into this, what you can see is a few really helpful things.

So first off you can hop into planning, board View, which similarly as a way, if you think about refining or moving work from a backlog into a current Sprint cycle or workweek, this is a really easy way to do it.

You can add tasks directly from here or pull things from the backlog that you've already defined.

you can also create new work weeks and cycles that don't have to adhere to a single week.

You can have the flexibility to have start dates, end dates that work for your team, and you can go ahead and plan those for future state, and whatever you need to do there.

But let me hop into this week's work week, in this cycle and I can just give you a little bit of a breakdown of what we're looking at here.

So on the left hand side what you'll see is any tasks that are currently associated with this cycle or with this work week.

So there's actually three tasks in here that have all been completed for the week, which is great.

But if you had any new tasks you wanted to add it or other tasks that were in here that weren't completed, you'd see those and be able to click into them right from this view as well.

What's also helpful about work weeks is it can be a way to audit the work that your agent and that all the sub agents and that Fynch is doing on your behalf.

Because there's a lot of parallel work that you might be firing off content for social, you might be doing deep research on competitors, all these different things in flight.

This is a great view to see what's happening, what the agents completed and what's open for you to either review as humans or your team to be executing.

And on the right hand side here you'll see cycle documents.

This is also really helpful.

this is anything that has been created or generated as part of any of that work.

Really helpful view in terms of what's going on each week and what your action items are, based on your agent's recommendations.

And then you can also see in here there's another looks like an Instagram, audit and report that we ran this week with a breakdown of what's performing well, what type of content and same thing.

This trend holds true.

There'll always be actionable recommendations around what you should do and focus on for next week.

So all this dovetails really nicely into saying what should I be working on for my next work week, my next cycle?

you have plenty of those recommendations and content to always be answering that question of what should I be focusing on this week?

So that's work weeks.

We'll move into projects.

Projects are an optional container for any of your tasks.

So you have two ways to create new projects.

You'll see right now I don't have any projects actually created, in an active state.

But you have the option to do this either with the help of your agent.

So this will pop up this little modal and it will walk you through the steps to basically get a plan going on this project.

You have.

Maybe it's really in the ideation phase and you need help kind of thinking through more of a formal plan.

This is A great place to start.

your agent and the AI will walk you through what you need.

There's even some templates down here you can pick and choose from to get you started if that's helpful.

it will send you off in the right direction with some of these pre populated options there as well.

If you have a really good understanding of what you want to be doing and you want to kick this off, you can go ahead and start something like this.

So maybe I have, for example, example, a Summer Solstice campaign I want to kick off.

The goal is to get more readers into our summer reading challenge.

the client in the workspace I'm in right now is actually an independent bookstore.

So they have a summer, reading challenge that happens throughout, June and July.

So what I'm building right now is maybe a project to help make content for this supporting challenge itself.

So I can come in here, I can give it start dates, let's say I'm going to start it today.

Maybe the end date will be end of this month.

You can add anything else you want in here, notes, comments, ideas, anything else.

drop it in the description and then everywhere, including work week cycles, projects and tasks.

You have the option to add custom fields, any key value pairs you want, that are really custom to your business.

You have that flexibility to do that as well.

So I'm going to go ahead and save this project.

So you'll see that project's been created.

It's now sitting here.

I don't have any tasks inside of that project, but I can click into it and it will move me into my task view now.

So now inside of Summer Solstice, let's go ahead and create my first task.

So the same thing holds true with projects.

You can do this one of two ways.

Ask your agent, guide you through the setup, more of the details, in a really easy to use format.

You can just ask for what you want.

optionally choose the project that we're in, which is Summer Solstice that we just created.

And you can choose a cycle if you want.

if you don't choose anything, it will automatically put it in the cycle that you're actively in.

Or based on the start and end dates, it will move it to that cycle that makes sense for that week.

and similarly the other way is you can do this manually as well.

It looks pretty similar to what we just did for projects.

You fill out the fields, you can add participants, which is new.

And this is something different than projects, but you can select people that are already in your workspace as users.

You can add them to specific, tasks and that way they'll get updates via email, if there's any changes in status or progress on these sort of tasks itself.

And custom tasks or sorry, custom fields as well too.

so let's go ahead and kick this off.

Maybe we'll ask the agent to create a task for us.

Maybe we say we want to generate a LinkedIn post.

I'll go ahead and grab the URL that's on our website.

just to provide a bit more context.

I'm going to go ahead and add it to this current week cycle because I want to get this blog post up this week and I have the option here to say run task immediately after creation.

What that means is if I keep this checked when I click Generate task, it's going to kick this off.

Yes, it's going to create the task for me inside of this project, but also the agent will get to work on passing this off to the content subagent to start on a draft and get started with the blog post that I'm asking for.

So you'll see this has now created this task in my project.

It's kicked it to in progress status and you can even come up here and you can see a log of what's going on.

My agent's working on this task I just created and it's processing here.

So I can also click into this and view more of the details, for what's going on with that particular task itself.

and same thing, I can hop back into my cycles and I can see the task that I just created is now sitting here and I can see that it's in progress with what we just viewed as well.
