If the worst ever happens, and your pet disappears on you, you'll want to mark them as missing as quickly as possible in the Crumb app.
00:05
I'm going to show you how to do this.
00:07
Start by opening the Crumb app.
00:08
And then find the pet that's missing.
00:10
If you have multiple pets, you may need to swipe left or right to find them.
00:13
Once you find them, just click the big orange button that says 'Report missing'.
00:17
Now we're just going to read through the slides, and click on the button at the bottom.
00:20
After we've read each one.
00:21
Next, we'll see a map of our area.
00:23
This is going to give us a chance to indicate exactly where our pet went missing.
00:26
I'm going to slide over here.
00:28
Let's say my dog went missing at the park, and and I was in the northwest corner of the park.
00:33
I'm going to put a pin right there.
00:34
Next, we're going to add any notes that might help people find our dog.
00:37
I'm going to say he ran away chasing a bird.
00:42
Maybe he comes if you call his name.
00:44
And he's wearing a yellow collar.
00:46
Here we can review all the information that we just gave to Crumb.
00:49
Bear in mind the alerts that we send out will include their breed, so don't worry about that.
00:54
We're going to click 'Confirm missing'.
00:56
Here we have an option to use Crumb's 'Social SOS' feature.
00:59
This will create a Facebook post targeted to people in your area.
01:02
To help them join the search.
01:04
I'm going to say 'Yes, opt into social SOS'.
01:06
Your Crumb tag might be scanned by anybody, so there's a little bit of safety information regarding meeting people online and keeping ourselves safe.
01:13
Once you've read that, click 'Agree and continue'.
01:15
And now Reginald is marked as missing.
01:17
Crumb will spring into action.
01:19
We'll send alerts to participating users within a five kilometer radius.
01:23
We'll also send alerts to participating vets and shelters in your area.
01:26
These are real people just like you, with pets of their own.
01:29
Crumb users tend to take missing pet alerts pretty seriously.
01:31
They'll be on the lookout for your pet, just like you are.
01:34
Crumb is proud to say that over 95% of pets are found within the first 24 hours.
01:38
So hang in there.
01:39
Hopefully you find your pet.
01:40
If you do, you can mark them as 'found' right in the app.
01:43
Just click that big purple button that says 'Mark as found'.
01:47
And just like that, your pet will be marked as 'found'.
