So if you stick with me for the next five minutes, you're gonna know what we're not, what we are, how we got here, and who you'll be working with, as well as a cheat sheet on how to actually thrive within a position at Solar on Steroids.

So the problem with most marketing agencies is they sit around kind of waiting for work to land on their lap.

They scope every single project from scratch.

They cram eight different services into one package and just hope that some something sticks.

Meaning that they have to do countless meetings to align, and assign daily check ins, sprints, all of this kind of stuff.

And this is all because they are generalists.

They are jack of all trades and master of none.

We are the opposite, quite frankly.

We're really, really bad, if not clueless at most things.

But we're brutally productized on one thing for one type of business.

And we do it better than anyone else out there.

And because of that, we run absolute rings around most of our competition.

So, quick bit about us first.

I'm Jude.

This is Joe.

We founded this together.

We actually live together as well.

Somehow we haven't killed each other yet.

Come close.

We both came from big corporates where we were quietly losing our minds.

You'd have a good idea, and it would take three months to go through layers upon layers of compliance and red tape to get to the point that by the time it actually got back to you, approved or unapproved, it wouldn't even be viable anymore.

Regardless, it felt like trying to steer a freight ship with.

We want it to feel like we were in a speedboat.

We wanted ideas to win because of how good they Were rather than, you know, where you sat in an organization chart.

We wanted to be at the cutting edge, testing new things, failing fast and failing forward.

And in doing so, we spotted a massive gap in the market.

Marketing agencies working with home services companies were stuck running these kind of like basic image ads, package prices, limited time offers, the kind that only really attracts window shoppers and and completely commoditize the brilliant work that installers and home service businesses do every single day, day in and day out.

So what did we do?

We drove for hours upon hours to turn up to clients across the country with no more than an iPhone and a road mic to try and do it properly all on our own.

We even covered the advertising, spend ourselves funding it by selling websites and from the commission that they paid us when they closed deals from our leads.

And it turns out when your back is against the wall, you, you pretty quickly find a way to get people exceptional results.

And while other agencies mocked our silly little videos, dubbing me as the Steven Spielberg of the solar industry, we were completely gapping them.

We caught them off guard and less than two years later, they're now the ones trying to catch up with us.

So fast forward to today.

We are now responsible for roughly 3% of every single solar installation that goes on in the uk.

How did we do it?

We, drive or even fly out to client sites, film high production video ads that are edited by our 25 strong editing team and we turn those into social media advertisements built to drive sales through optimized mobile first quiz funnels.

We then help our clients build an army of their customers through some really clever UGC tactics and have even built our own API to track every single lead from inquiry to sale via the client CRMs and feed that data back to their advertising platforms.

So we're optimizing for a better cost per sale and a better financial return rather than just cheaper leads or vanity metrics, which is revolutionary.

Who would have thought not many people are actually doing marketing in this way.

A lot of people are stuck on vanity metrics and engagement.

Right?

So the results from doing all of this are, nothing short of insane.

AJ Renewables made over £583,000 in 30 days from from just £17,000 in ad spend.

We beat the biggest installer in Ireland's previous campaigns by over 5x within two weeks of getting started.

And it's not just a few clients that are getting outsized results.

We've got over 40 video case studies and altogether we've generated over 25 million pounds for over 60 installers throughout the UK and now the US as well.

We want to grow 5x in 2026 and a further 2x in 2027.

So now something that we don't usually show to outsiders, this is our, internal scorecard.

It's how we actually measure everyone here.

It's the best way for you to judge whether you thrive here.

And, and you can almost consider it a little bit of a cheat sheet, right?

So first one, ownership.

You are accountable for outcomes, not just tasks, right?

Which means you own your work end to end.

Some people hate this, some people love this, right?

There's no babysitting, there's no micromanaging, no one hovering over your shoulder, asking if something's done yet, right?

You own it.

Next one is consistency proven over time, not just in your good weeks or good days.

Anyone can have a brilliant Tuesday, but we reward people that show up time and time again.

Communication, high quality and proactive.

We avoid, let's take that offline and circle back from a 30 foot bird's, eye view.

We want clear, concise and productive communication.

Right?

And, next one is operational maturity, process discipline and efficiency.

This is what lets us move at speed without everything catching on fire.

With the right processes in place, a decision on Monday morning can be tested Monday afternoon and rolled out on Tuesday morning thereafter.

Next one is commercial contribution.

You understand how your work affects profit and growth and can therefore drive real business impact inside and beyond your function.

We love entrepreneurial people, or as a lot of people are calling it now, intrapreneurial people.

So if you've got a lot of that energy, you are more than welcome here.

and finally, leadership capability, behaviors that lift the team around you.

If you show it, you will grow as the company grows.

So read that list carefully and honestly.
