Today we're going to be walking through light onboarding.

What is it, why is it and how is it?

So let's talk about the purpose of light onboarding, right?

What are the different use cases, what is the purpose of it and how can it apply to what you're trying to do?

So the reason why we came up with light onboarding was because as you might know, registration and compliance and verification, like business verif, verification with meta can be a huge pain.

And some of us just want to send messages as quickly as possible and not have to go through our own registration, our own verification and get our own branding or customized messages.

Maybe we're just an indie dev, who has a side project for the weekend, or maybe we're a small business who only needs something simple like an OTP code and we don't care if it comes branded or not.

And we also don't care if we have customized platform messages or not.

So this is the purpose of light onboarding, right?

It gives you an opportunity to use our shared infrastructure to send messages without having to go through all the pain of what I just described.

So I'm going to show you how exactly to do that.

right here through the dashboard.

So you can see as soon as I make the account, as soon as I log in, you guys will probably see a little playground that allows you to send a test message to yourself or an OTP code.

Once you get past that, you'll see a screen like this.

And if you go over here on the left hand side, you do have access to an API key right off the jump.

This will be the API key that you use to send messages.

And on the left hand side here you can see you already have a template that is pre approved down here.

Now it is read only.

You cannot make any changes to this.

Again, that's the whole idea of light onboard with the shared infrastructure.

However, you can use this template and you can use this to reach out to your own customers.

So you can see down here, the body is variable.

1 is your verification code.

You can pass in whichever verification code you want.

This is completely up to you.

And then whenever you send messages to your customers, it will appear as a spot sent sending the message to them.

So very simple, very straightforward.

You do have a daily cap of 100 messages per day.

if you do want to go past this cap, you will have to go through the full onboarding.

If you do want your own branding your own sort of customized messages, you will have to go through full onboarding.

But again, this is just a super simple use case.

All you have to do is use use the API key on the left hand side and then pass in this template id which you can see here.

Eet that way you can still send OTP codes to your users.

we do have new templates coming out soon, so you know something, maybe even like your order has been delivered.
