Hello.

I am Chris Robinson.

I'm a conservatory trained professional violinist, educator, and founder of the Robinson Violin School.

Over the past 20 years, I've had the opportunity to perform with major US orchestras, work alongside some of the best musicians of our time, record on Grammy winning albums, and team teach students ranging from complete beginners to advanced violinists pursuing professional careers.

But if there's one thing I've learned, it's that becoming a great musician isn't just about playing more notes correctly.

It's about having the right guidance.

When I was younger, I was fortunate to have mentors who helped me navigate not only how to play the violin, but how to build a meaningful life and career through music.

Their influence changed the trajectory of my life, and it's a big part of why I teach today.

Throughout my career, I've worked as a performer, teacher, and arts entrepreneur.

I've built educational programs that serve students from underrepresented communities, created learning resources that reach musicians around the world, and mentored students who are pursuing everything from youth orchestra auditions to conservatory admissions, professional careers, and simply a, passionate hobby.

I've also seen firsthand that many talented musicians struggle not because they lack ability, but because they're overwhelmed by information, inconsistent in their practice, or unsure of what steps to take next.

That's where I come in.

My teaching philosophy is simple.

Make progress clear, practical and achievable.

Whether you're trying to master a piece you've always wanted to play, prepare for an audition, improve your technique, or simply become a more confident musician, my goal is to help you understand not only what to practice, but why you're practicing it.
