So this could be survivors of abuse, kids in foster care, people in crisis, anyone whose previous experience with systems that's been bad.

So if a tool can't pass those five questions, it isn't trauma informed, no matter what the marketing says.

This also isn't a niche concern if your nonprofit works with survivors, children, refugees, foster youth, people in crisis, or anyone who's been harmed by systems before.
