Creating an Outbound Campaign in Gale in this walkthrough, we'll cover how to create an outbound campaign in Gale from start to finish using the Guided Campaign Builder.

To begin, navigate to Outbound in the left sidebar, then click New Campaign.

The first step is choosing your campaign type.

You'll have two Basic and Advanced.

A basic campaign is best for straightforward outbound calling.

It includes one or more contact lists, a single script, and one dial per contact.

An advanced campaign is designed for more complex multi touch outreach.

It allows you to use audience segmentation, create multiple sequences with separate outreaches, and optionally apply redialing rules.

If you start with a Basic campaign, you can always convert it to Advanced later from the Script and Flow step.

If you decide you need multiple sequences or retry logic from there, the Campaign builder will guide you through each setup step.

The first step is Audience in Basic mode or Audience in Segments in Advanced Mode.

Here you can select one or more contact lists.

In Advanced campaigns, you can also create segments using conditions to refine which contacts receive specific messaging.

Keep in mind that contact lists are optional while saving a draft.

You can save the campaign first and add contacts later through the Assignments API.

However, before launching, you must have at least one contact list or API assignment.

The next step is Script and Flow for Basic campaigns or Sequences for advanced campaigns.

In a basic campaign, you can select an existing script or create a new one.

You can also configure custom tools such as HTTP Integrations and add data extraction fields from the side panel.

There is also a have Gale Help option, which allows GALE to suggest useful data extraction fields for for your campaign.

In an advanced campaign, you'll build one or more sequences.

Each sequence can contain its own outreach, timing, and script.

You can create these from scratch or choose existing sequences already available in your organization.

This is where you give your agent additional context and supporting information to help answer customer questions more effectively during calls.

After that, move to Agent and Voice.

Here, you'll configure how your agent sounds by selecting a voice, optionally adding ambient audio, and using Test Voice to preview the experience.

You can also use Try your agent to receive a live test call and hear how everything works in real time.

If you're using an advanced campaign, the next step may be redialing rules.

This step is optional and allows you to apply an existing redialing rule or create a new one.

Redialing rules control how outcomes like no Answer, Busy or voicemail trigger retries.

The final step is Test and launch.

This page gives you a full summary of your campaign settings so you can review everything before going live.

If there are any validation issues, such as a missing voice, missing agent name greeting, or farewell, you'll need to fix those first.

When you're ready, click Launch.

For basic campaigns, calls begin immediately after confirmation.

For advanced campaigns calls, follow the schedule and sequence timing you've configured.

Remember, you cannot launch a campaign without at least one contact list.

If no audience has been added, the platform will block the launch and prompt you to complete that step first.

Once your campaign is active, you can monitor it from the Campaigns tab in Outbound.

If you ever need to stop a campaign, open the Campaigns tab, click the three dot menu next to the campaign, and select Stop.

Any calls already in progress will finish, but no new calls will begin.

To resume the campaign later, simply click Start.
