Import from anywhere with Clerk.io

So with an AI integration you basically just start by explaining which platform you want to sync with and then it's going to give you a plan or ask some questions to follow up to make sure it understands.

Then in this case, I told it I want to sync with the prestashop API and underneath it's just built the entire integration for me.

and just gives me the details I need in order to actually set up the credentials to sync correctly.

so once I went into my prestashop store and got the key for my web service and gave it access to all of the different fields that it needs, I could just add this, including my store URL which which is just an IP address in this case, and then click on save settings and run the sync.

And now I actually have the products and categories, orders and customers and pages in my store immediately.

This took me less than 10 minutes to do.

Due to the power of AI importers you can also set up multiple importers in case you have different data types from different places.

So so for example, in this setup, I want to import all of my products and categories and orders from Magento 2, which is where I have most of my e commerce data.

But then I also created an AI integration from my blog page specifically to just get the pages that are located in a completely different platform.

But but now they're going to sync into Clerk.

So I have them available to use anywhere I need them to on my primary e commerce site.

And you can set up as many importers as you want by just selecting the methods here or creating AI integrations for each of them if you want to be completely specific about which data points to fetch.

So there's a lot of flexibility and basically no limitations.

As as long as your platform can be communicated with, Clerk can talk to that platform and import data from it.

A few things worth knowing is first of all you cannot import the same data type from multiple importers.

That's to make sure we don't accidentally override data in a wrong way.

So make sure that you set up importers that only import the data type in one importer.

And then second, if you create an AI integration that you want to reuse across many different stores, then you start by creating it in one place and then when you go to the next store to create it, you'll be able to copy it and use it on that store as well.

So the ideal approach when you create a new AI importer is to do it on a test all first.

So you make sure that all the data points work and then once you're satisfied with it, you add it to the live store to make sure the data is flowing the way that it should be.
