Optimizing Azure Costs with AI Agents ☁️

In today's video we will look at how our cloud cost optimization agent can provide recommendations to optimize cost and performance in Azure deployments.

When we click on the agent, you can interact with the agent, you can view agentic workflows, or you can observe the agent.

Here we have one of the previous agent job runs and we can see that we are recommending the optimization for around 17 VMs and six of them need to be downsized and one of them need to be shut down or decommissioned which is representing around 54% of total potential savings.

Here the agent is presenting a breakdown of underutilized VMs as well as the optimization recommendations.

Here we see a list of different optimization techniques which include downsizing of the VMs, which also include looking at the CPU or memory usage as well as ghost VMs.

Further down in the page we have the detailed list of the VMs in each of the recommendation categories.

In this first category the agent is recommending downsizing of the VMS based on the current utilization.

for example in the first VM, the current configuration is using eight cores of CPU and around 32GB of memory and agent is recommending to use four cores and around 20GB of memory representing around 35% potential savings.

In the same way, we can see that there are downsizing recommendations for aggressive downsizing and as well as memory and CPU optimizations as well as shutting down or decommissioning some of the ghost vms And this agent can be run on demand or on a scheduled basis or it can also be run as a external event trigger.
