if you're in franchising, you're going to really want to pay attention to this.
00:03
So, I'm in Reddit right now.
00:04
Someone put up an owning a gyms franchise sort of question in this Australia group, which has 750k weekly visitors.
00:09
There's a lot of people who will see this.
00:11
This person's asking about a gyms franchise in a forum, obviously, great place to do it.
00:15
And as you can imagine, because we're gyms, people have got so many wrong ideas and quite frankly tell out lies.
00:20
And I've created this job from Jim's account and I go in there and answer things and as you can see there, 1400, people have seen that comment.
00:28
So from a visibility point of view, it's really, really important if your brand is getting mentioned in Reddit, for example, that you actually take the opportunity to, comment on some things as well.
00:36
Because there's so much incorrect information in here and it's really frustrating for us as a brand that people can just come on here and just tell, quite frankly, lies.
00:44
But you've got to take ownership of it.
00:46
So create an account, jump in there and respond.
00:48
We've actually got some franchisees coming in and responding as well, which has been great to see.
00:52
But, you really need to do it because what happens is if people go to search Jim's franchise in Google, for example, you'll see here that Reddit actually comes up as the fourth thing that people will see.
01:01
And rather than going to the corporate website, they will go here and read about other periods, people's apparent experience with our franchise.
01:07
Right, that's really influential.
01:09
And when people do that, they will never inquire and they will probably be put off by this and you're never going to know about it.
01:14
And the reason why I'm raising this, we actually had a franchisee the other day who texted one of our franchisors and said, I've read some not good reviews on Reddit and it sort of got me thinking, wow, we need to really start taking this stuff more seriously.
01:23
And, you know, cause we're such a big brand, obviously people know us and they're gonna jump on there and have their opinion, et cetera.
01:29
And I saw, you know, cause in a way we're so big, people will do that.
01:32
But I'll definitely be searching for your own brand name in here.
01:35
If anything's even been mentioned about it, you can use it to your advantage.
01:38
So we've obviously got a couple of accounts which we will go and respond as well.
01:41
and I just think you have to do it because LLMs obviously crawl this too and they will take these comments and feedback and actually service it into answers, into ChatGPT and other places.
01:51
So you just need to get on there and respond.
01:53
but I suggest create an account like a corporate account so that you're transparent.
01:56
People won't believe you, they'll downvote what you say.
01:58
and obviously you can create some maybe other random accounts and get in there and respond to if your brand is subject to this.
02:04
But don't discount it, it's becoming really influential and it's something that you're never gonna know about.
02:10
And as I said, you know in search results here you can see it now the way we've counted this is that over the years you know I've been obviously investing in YouTube since 2019 and we've got more than 3100 videos.
02:21
So if people read that and go I want to see what the website says and see what the video say in the podcast, they will be converted by this anyway.
02:28
But you've still got people who will never become a gyms franchisee based on reading some randoms opinion on Reddit which is quite frustrating.
02:35
So at least getting in there and jumping in and responding gives you some sort of chance for people to actually see that maybe change their mind and go further and look beyond forum comments.
02:45
But something to thank note off and it's only become going to become more prevalent.
