How to Manage Industry Pages and Navigation 🌐

In this video I will explain everything around industries.

Currently upon delivery we have the industries here in this automatic slider.

But they don't have specific pages behind them yet.

They are also located in the navigation bar, but those are not linked.

So in this video I will show you how to create pages, how to make sure they are linked in the navigation and how to add industries at a later time.

So first as always we go and switch to the marketer role.

From here we're gonna create a new page.

I'm gonna use the default template, I'm gonna call this biotime.

I'm going to add it to the parent folder, Industries.

And you see that the URL changes to Industries view tag.

It's very important in this case.

Going to skip all the information here for now and then create the page.

For this example I'm going to keep it simple.

I'm going to do an image plus text Steva, for view tag.

I'm going to change an image here.

This is not the right image but just to show us an example here and now we have created the page.

So if you're happy with the page we make sure we publish it first and then we're going to grab the URL of this page.

So here go to pages, select the current page and then select this URL.

Now I have still the staging link here but whenever the website is officially live you will have here smartiva.com industries biotag going to copy this close.

Then I'm going to go over to the cms.

You can see we have an Industries collection list and I'm going to search for biotag and then add the link here.

Something did not go well so I will type it here.

Industries.

Make sure this is the exact URL as the one we just saw.

And then I'm gonna do publish.

Now I'm gonna go back to the home.

I scroll down to the Industries automatic slider.

You can see that biotag now has the arrow here which means the link is connected.

Then the pharmaceuticals for example does not have a page behind it yet.

so that one does not have a link.

So if this appears it is done well then it automatically is also connected here in the industries drop down so you don't additionally have to edit anything there.

So now let's see how we can create a new industry that is not in this lineup currently.

For that we first go to the cms.

We see the industries and we add a new industry.

Say new industry.

You add an image here for the thumbnail which we just saw on the homepage we add an icon here for the navigation bar and then we can change here the order of appearance and that is if it if it appears first or last in the slider or in the navigation dropdown.

If you leave it open it's going to add it to the top as the first item.

For now I don't have a page behind it so I'm not going to fill out a link and I create a draft.

I'm going back to build, build a new page for my industry.

Create and do the whole loop what we just did.

this is I think a good example.

Now I did not select any of the page templates and you start with a completely blank a page.

This I would not recommend because from here it's very difficult to get to the right structure in order to build a correct page.

Even if you add a navigation bar in a footer that will still not give you the correct structure.

So strongly recommend strongly recommend using a one of the page templates.

So in this case I'm going to delete it now for the example.

But from here you build the page and then you add the link to the cms and that's how you close the, and add all the pages.
