RewriteCmd

Hey guys, what if instead of copy pasting this text to ChatGPT, you would have access to a shortcut to autocorrect, make it more formal or anything else.

That's what I built.

With RewriteCmd , you select your text, hit a shortcut and RewriteCmd lives in your menu bar and rewrite it instantly.

rewrite command lives only in your menu bar.

If you open it, you will have access to three panels.

The first one is bring your own AI.

You can select Claude, OpenAI, Mistral, or Openrouter.

Once you paste the API key, you can configure your instructions.

You can use all presets instructions like make it more formal, casual, shorter or longer or you can create your own custom instructions.

Let's say you want to convert text into SQL, you can use that for Or you want to translate in French or Chinese, you can use custom instruction for that.

Once the shortcuts are set up here, you can see the global hotkey to use them anywhere in your Mac, whether it's Slack, LinkedIn, Gmail, or anything else.

Here I have autocorrect and formal.

Let's use formal for this one.

Rewrite runs and the new text is just paste.
