The 1K Lab Intro SP

So back in 2020 when the world was going a little bit crazy, I really started to feel like social media was not the thing that I wanted to be doing anymore.

It would take me another two to three years to actually feel like I was in a position to remove myself from social media as far as my business was concerned.

And that actually happened in 2022.

Now the biggest thing that I struggled with was what do I do instead?

If I'm not posting on social media, if I'm not present, if I'm not visible and I'm using air quotes on purpose, how do the people that I'm trying to get in front of find me?

How do I sell my office?

What does that actually look like?

Well, I personally have found that I love to have deep conversations and I often talk about having an unscalable business with my members all the time.

And what I mean by that is that I'm not here trying to create this massive empire.

I'm not here where I want to employ tons of people to work for me.

I want to keep a very lean business and I want something unscalable because I don't want to lose touch of being able to have conversations with the people that I actually want to help Which by the way, is you.

Basically what I decided to start focus on and what really resonated for me was building a community where I could have really meaningful conversations without worrying about the next thing someone's seeing being some political post or some doom scrolling video or a cat video, although I'm not opposed to those.

Basically I wanted a space where I knew that I could speak to my audience and trust that the right people would resonate with what I was saying and know that I'm not having to worry about dancing, creating for some weird algorithm, any of those things.

So that's why the 1k lab exists.
