Learn how to easily refund players for payments made within an event using the Golfi app. This video shows two methods: accessing payments directly from the event home screen or through individual player transaction details. You can refund specific items or the entire transaction, and track the refund status within the app.

Hi everyone.

And in this video we're going to talk about how we can refund players who've made payments inside an event.

So I've got this event, here, Golfify Invitational and I already have a handful of players in there.

and if I go to my payments screen I can see that I've got a number of payments.

So if I want to refund any of these as the host, there's actually a few pathways you can access the same screen.

So the first is by tapping the money icon there on the event home screen that's going to take you to your payments, all the payments, for your event.

And then you can simply tap on each of the payments to get the breakdown.

And then the option to refund is at the top right hand side where it says the three dots.

And you can just simply tap refund and you can select which item to refund.

So if there's multiple line items in there, you can just select the ones you want to refund.

And once you tap an item like so, you, you tap the button at the bottom, process refund and that's going to go ahead and process the refund.

So once that's done you'll be brought back to your transaction detail, screen and you'll see it'll take a minute just to process but you'll see that eventually the status will change to refunded.

And then you can also see this activity section here where you can view all the events which have happened in that payment.

So you've got the full history there.

and yeah, so if we go back now to the home screen of the event, there's also another way you can get to the refund option and that's just by viewing the transactions on the specific player.

So if we go to the player manager and then we can tap the dollar icon or the currency icon for any of the players or we can tap view registration via the more icon there on the far once you get in there, you can then see the transactions a player has made inside the event.

You can again select any of those.

And this brings you through to that same screen which has the transaction detail.

And then you can just simply tap the refund option at the top right hand side and you can select either.

You can see in this example here we've got two line items, one for Nellie Cord or one for Tiger Woods.

If I just want to refund Tiger Woods, I can just process the refund for that player and that will take me back to the transaction detail screen.

And now you can see this one will have a status of partially refunded.

and below it will give you the breakdown of the refund.

the Gulfify application fee is refunded, on a pro rata basis and we still have a minimum fee there.

So if there is a minimum fee, it will still display obviously, if you fully refund the transaction, the Golfify application fee will also be fully refunded.

so, yeah, I hope that's clear on the refunds.

I hope this also allows you to manage everything inside the app.

It doesn't mean you don't have to bounce around to other applications such as even the stripe dashboard to do this.

One thing also to note, at the end there, if you do process refunds inside your Stripe dashboard, the Golfify application fee will not be refunded.

So it's just worth noting, if possible I would strongly recommend handling the refunds inside the Golfify app.
