Hey guys, how's it going?
00:01
My name is Travis Hansen.
00:03
I'm going to walk you through using the synthetic user feedback scale I created for cloud code and a little background on myself.
00:10
I am the head of product and product marketing at Boostly and I also run a live class called or live virtual class, called CloudFluent, on the side.
00:22
And so let's get into the skill.
00:25
So how you use the skills.
00:26
You can just throw this in a Claude and tell it to install it if you haven't installed skills before.
00:35
So you could come in here and say got a lot of instances going on.
00:43
So it's going a little slow.
00:45
So you can come in here and say please, please install the skill.
00:57
And then what I'm actually going to do is I'm going to copy this, I'm going to start a Claude session with the Chrome extension active.
01:07
So do that with Claude Chrome, you can do it just with Playwright in the background as well.
01:14
but if you use it with Chrome it's a little bit more what's the word?
01:21
It can get through more.
01:22
So like it can click into LinkedIn profiles, it can click into your login product.
01:29
So this is ideal, Playwright, will just run in the background.
01:34
So essentially what we're doing here is we're saying hey, go pretend to be a my Personas and go do some action and then give stream of consciousness feedback as you do it and then some final feedback at the end.
01:55
And what I found this to be useful for is number one, just a quick spot check.
02:00
So obviously you can do this faster than you know, 100 times faster than gathering the same Personas live.
02:08
And we've been using it, we've been working on a pricing revamp for Boostly that's about to go live, as well as a new website and some other things.
02:17
And I found it useful for just little catching little details that I wouldn't have otherwise or that would have taken a lot of in person user feedback.
02:28
So one of them was just the skepticism that arises when you can't see where the pricing is, by default, and then we didn't have listed discounts for our larger organizations even though we have we do furnish those.
02:45
And so anyways sift through some of that type of stuff.
02:49
So in order to get this to work we are going to paste this in here and say run synthetic feedback and we'll just run it against Cloudfluent and when you download the skill, this will be empty or it'll just have a template.
03:12
So you can fill this in with your users or you can modify the skill to point it at your existing Personas.
03:20
So these in here are some Personas I created for for Cloudflare.
03:27
so there's like an entrepreneur direct to product marketing, a product manager and a customer success leader is kind of who I end up talking to a lot.
03:37
So we're going to run it and wait here for a moment.
03:46
Okay, so here are the results.
03:48
you can see a little bit of stream of consciousness, simulation, which is surprisingly useful to put yourself in the headspace of these different Personas.
03:59
And then you get a little bit of summary here at the end of yeah, looks like no team pricing, is visible.
04:11
We hit the emotional core.
04:14
Some good testimonials anyways, just for each of the different Personas you get stream of consciousness, summary stuff and then a, yeah, just a summary at the end.
04:31
and then it'll come up with a document here.
04:36
Basically if you have a docs folder it'll stick it in that and if not it'll create a user research folder for you.
04:41
so again, hopefully this is useful.
04:43
I found this tremendously useful for this type of kind of quick validation and spot checking your thinking and let me know if you have questions.
04:55
Thanks.
