My name is Bret Hart and if you are here on this website it's most likely because you are from my school community or from my Instagram.
00:09
Now, from a quick look you might think I have been doing this for a long time or I just started.
00:15
It's really hard to tell on social media.
00:17
So this is why I wanted to give a little bit of background on who I am as a person before you really want to invest in my vision, my plan and my journey with with what I see strengthening and conditioning as so I started working out when I was around 10 years old.
00:31
I fell deeply in love with the Rocky movies, Rockies 1, 2, 3 and 4 specifically.
00:37
And the main thing that I took from that was you can get the result you want if you just work hard enough.
00:42
So that was my mentality.
00:43
Going into strength training, I didn't necessarily have a strength conditioning coach.
00:48
I was a very trial by fire.
00:51
Try by doing, learn by doing.
00:53
I would take bits of pieces of information from legendary coaches that you would probably know.
00:59
Jay Schroeder, Louis Simmons, Cal Dietz.
01:02
And I took a bunch of stuff from overtime athletes.
01:05
I took a bunch of stuff from super training, Yuri Verkashansky.
01:08
I took a bunch of stuff from PGF Performance, Les Spellman.
01:12
I was putting all these different pieces of the sports performance puzzle together on my own.
01:18
And if you've ever tried to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded, that's essentially what I was trying to do.
01:23
Yeah, you can.
01:24
You'll maybe eventually get there, but it'll take a lot longer versus if you look at the guide, you actually can figure it out and find it and try it that way.
01:31
But that's not how I learned, that's not how I went through it and that's not my journey through sports performance.
01:36
I played baseball at Springfield College where I also graduated with a degree in exercise science.
01:42
Got my CSCS.
01:43
I did a 400 plus hour internship at Cressy Sports Performance up in Hudson, Massachusetts.
01:48
And that's where I was always learning and growing by training myself and doing things myself, but always feeling like there was something missing.
01:56
And to me the strength and conditioning industry has a lot of fluff.
02:01
It has a lot of things that might look cool, might be applicable in this specific context and might be able to do that.
02:09
But it is very hard to structure a 12 week mat macro mesocycle and to be able to get athletes to buy in and to get people to do the program that you're saying you want them to do.
02:20
And the different Queuing and coaching and my whole thing and my whole reason why I've created this page and created my school community is to get like minded coaches together so we can converse with ourselves with no ego, no gatekeeping and the ability to share ideas, bounce ideas and to learn and grow together.
02:38
Because that is something I never had.
02:39
I never had a coach I could bounce ideas off of.
02:42
When I was coming up, it was all, I would read this on Instagram, I would read this on their website, I would watch this YouTube video and I would go into the gym that day or the next day and then go right and implement it right away and see if it worked or not.
02:56
That's something that I think has a lot of value in the terms of a learning process.
03:01
But it's not ideal and I lived through it.
03:04
I know it, I know it's not ideal.
03:05
definitely stunted my baseball career due to that, which actually led me into powerlifting and I went into powerlifting, competed one time, was able to squat, bench and deadlift relatively high weights compared to my body weight.
03:16
Then I worked at another facility.
03:18
Past that or then speed was all that mattered and then being an athlete.
03:21
So that's what my obsession was.
03:23
Now I'm currently obsessed with coaching.
03:25
Not just clients and athletes, but coaches as well.
03:29
I want to be someone that has the ability to put myself out there and bring people together inside of a community where we can coach each other and to level ourselves up, through the field of strength and conditioning and sports performance.
03:42
That is about me.
03:43
I mean I've done a lot and I'm only 26 years old.
03:46
I'm excited for it to keep growing and to keep going as much as I learn.
03:51
But I know I can accelerate my learning if we can get something together that we are able to not solve.
03:57
The Rubik's Cube blindfolded, if, for lack of a better term, please, if you are interested, join my free school community.
04:03
If you haven't already.
04:05
If you would like to join my training team, I do offer a monthly training service that you can join through Train Heroic where I update the programs weekly and then obviously if you book a call that is going to be our pro community, that I am only selecting the people that take the time to go through the call to come with questions, to come well prepared and to make sure that community is a little bit more niche down the free community is everyone and anyone who wants to join and wants to learn, by all means, go for it.
04:33
But the pro community, I want to make a little bit more tight knit and give it that west side feel.
04:38
If you're familiar with conjugate.
04:39
All right, I appreciate you all for being here.
04:42
If you have any questions, you can shoot me a message down below in that chat box, or you can go on the school and message me directly or on Instagram, but that's very less likely that I would be able to reach out on that.
04:53
But by all means, feel free to check around the website.
04:56
It took me a long time to build, and it's probably still not 100% finished yet.
05:01
I don't think it'll ever be, but that's it.
05:03
I'll, see you guys hopefully soon.
05:05
Peace.
