Reduce wastage with excess stock

So last year we had quite a few members chatting to us about how they were finding dead stock or drain whether you're a one branch or a small group, having stock sat on shelves laying unused is obviously going to be frustrating and I mean that you order stock that you don't need to, So there's two different specific ways you can use excess stock on ECAS Web.

So I'm going to click manage stock.

Now I can add excess stock that I've got into this location.

You when you've been set up by help Desk, you'll see that you've already had a location added for where you want to hold your stock in ECAS Web.

So you can either do this quickly by clicking new stock via barcode, and scan it the same way as you would for a search or you can click new stock and add what you want manually yourself.

as you can see here, earlier on I've added a couple of different lines that we've got going spare.

this first wave using Access stock means that the next time anyone orders through ecaas, whether that's on PMR or on ECAS Web, they go to search for the items that you've added in your excess stock, they're going to show up on product pricing and information.

and if they added to the order pad or ordered, we're going to take the items that are in your excess stock before we send any orders to any of your other suppliers, obviously saving you a little bit of money.

The other way you can do it is you can make a transfer directly.

you've got a branch that brings up and actually yeah, I've got some aspirin, I can send it right over to you.

Then I can search for the line item, look for the product, the quantity and add the price of zero if it's a transfer and then I'm able to select the other branch and transfer that directly to them.

You can also see that as soon as stock's been transferred by either method, We also automatically give you a dispatch note to download and to send to the branch that you need to.
