Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick demo of our discovery module.

I'm also going to record one for our projects module.

So what you see here is the discovery one.

and let's start with the search tab here, which is basically how you would look for funding opportunities across our whole database using what we call semantic search.

So if you are familiar with keyword searches, you would put a couple keywords, create a profile and then assist system would normally match you against that.

one of the key or core challenge that we see with that is you lose a lot of context on your research.

because chemistry can mean a lot of things, right?

It can mean biochemistry, could be social chemistry.

So you end up with a lot of false positive, kind of like connecting on those keywords.

So rather than doing that, you know, using Atom, you can simply use an abstract that could be, you know, a draft, just anything that can give context to any, a research paper and then we're going to search against that.

So what the system is currently doing is it's picking up the contextual clues, rather than just looking at individual keywords.

And then on top of that you can apply some filters.

So based on that abstract, if you're looking specifically for foundations, for corporate partners, you know, international funding opportunities, or just your standard federal agencies as well, let's go and click on a federal one here.

And so what Adam is going to do is basically pull all of the high level information for you in a very kind of like digestible way.

So you'll have the funders, the due dates, a quick description, funding amount, eligibility criteria, the application process and so on.

And all of that information actually not just come from the web pages but from the source documents, itself.

So you can think of, you know, the PAPGs, the RFPs, the NOFOs.

And this is very crucial because of a lot of the time some of the changes and updates live in those documents and not just on a web page.

so Adam will basically scan those documents every 24 hours.

So you only have up to date information and you're not waiting two to three weeks before knowing that a deadline change.

for example, the best way to go and navigate through those documents is not to actually view the source and click the link and read through those documents.

It's to use our AI chat that's embedded right here.

So you can ask question as for example, you give me three ideas, for a proposal based on my research interests which I'll show you about where we pull that information from.

And then the system is actually going to go through the source document, go through my profile, and then help me kind of like brainstorm some ideas that could be a good fit here.

you could ask, you know, very simple question as who are the grant officers?

For example?

And it's also going to go through and then pull that information for you.

So this is kind of like a way for faculty, but also for admin to save a lot of times when it comes to assessing the eligibility or just finding kind of like key information before deciding if this is a good fit or not.

on top of that we'll give you an eligibility score.

So if you, know you're a good fit in terms of grant topic, in terms of where you're at in your career, the institution you're part of, and some other key consideration, that you should also take into account before moving forward, with a proposal.

This is kind of like the general search experience.

We'll show you some similar grants and some other researchers at your institution that can be a good fit.

So I know this one, might really help to create some collaborations as well.

So you would be able to see those interests and also share, the funding opportunity with that specific person there.

let's move into the admin section.

This is where we will basically gather, all of the data for you.

So if you love analytics, you love understanding what's going on, at the faculty level or by department as well.

You're gonna have a ton here.

So you can filter based on departments here, timeline as well.

This is great.

You can click on a specific point in time and this is going to show you, the analytic for that specific period.

And then all of that is being pulled from different sources and metrics.

But you can think of, if a researcher has logged in, how much time they're spending on the platform, what kind of grants or funding opportunity they looked at, how much time they're spending looking at that funding opportunities, Are they opening up the email, the newsletters that we're sending out with funding opportunities, have they added any grants or funding opportunity to their favorites or to specific lists?

Have they shared it with somebody else?

So you will have a ton of data and if you want some more granularity and you're like me, you'll probably want to also see, the search histories, what kind of grants they're looking for, what kind of questions they're asking.

So that can really Be helpful to you know, put together some workshops, some trainings as well for your team.

so this is what basically the admin dashboard is allowing you to do.

And we'll also give you full lists of all research you're part of your institution and then you can search by you know by research interests, specific categories or funding opportunities.

But what I would probably recommend is just let's say you want to apply to something like you know that is environmental and then we can just search against that and then it'll try to find new researchers that are good fit there.

so I think this is pretty much it for the admin panel.

And then what we're going to do is basically onboard your researchers and admin in bulk just using their first name, last name and department.

And our system is basically able to pull publicly available information in just one click.

So you can think of a personal website, you can think of a faculty page, recently awarded grants, recent publication and then we are going to put a list of research interests together for them.

so this is something that we can do live in a demo.

but basically the researcher doesn't even have to log in and update that information.

this will already be there once they log in the first time because we're able to pull that information.

if ever there's something that's missing that is not publicly available, they can always just click on the little plus button here, upload a resume, a CV for example to give more context and then we're also going to pre generate a profile for them with a bit more information and based on those research interest and profile we're going to start sending a weekly newsletter with funding opportunities that are highly curated for them so they don't even have to log in into the platform, they'll just receive a weekly email with those funding opportunities.

the last thing here that's probably interesting is the deep research.

this one is a feature that we've built around assessing your eligibility.

So it's going to look through your profile and your research interest and based on that it's only going to show you funding opportunities that are not only matching your research interest, but are also matching in terms of eligibility.

So this is a really great place to start as a faculty or an admin, when you don't know where to start, don't know what's available, you don't necessarily have an abstract, you're just trying to see if there's funding available for things you're interested in.

Deep Research is a great place to start.

normally it takes about like a minute to run, so I'm not going to run it here.

But you can do it as a researcher, your own profile or as an admin, you can do it on behalf of a researcher.

So whenever someone reaches out to you and say, I have this amazing, project or interest, what kind of funding opportunities available?

Well, a good place to start, just to view it through their own lens and start the deep research here.
