00:00
Okay, so welcome back to the third video in this series.
00:04
Now in the last video we went over how we can use Tella to create a blog post out of a video that we created.
00:14
And the video that we used was this one here.
00:17
So you essentially come in, Tella reads your transcript and then based on that, uses it to essentially create a blog post for you.
00:27
Now one of the last things that we did was to essentially ask us for a little bit of a follow up.
00:34
Other ideas.
00:35
And one of the ideas that it gave us was to basically turn our long form video into clips.
00:43
And so that's what we're going to be doing in this video.
00:46
So the first thing that we're going to need to do of course is retrieve our latest video from Tella.
00:52
So I'm going to say, hey, can you retrieve my latest video from Tella?
00:59
And again we just need to make sure that we're connected properly.
01:03
And I'm also going to say and get all the details and then what we're going to do is we're going to run it and we're just going to wait for Claude and Tella to communicate with each other.
01:15
And then hopefully within a few seconds we will have our setups.
01:21
So I'm just going to quickly make sure it's connected.
01:24
Again we'll just take a few seconds and then we're going to go through the process of repurposing our video.
01:32
So you can kind of see here and the cool thing about this is that if you open this you can actually see what information is returned.
01:39
Not that it's important, but what it will do now is it will take this information and it will basically transform it.
01:45
And you can see here the last video that it found was the video that we just made.
01:50
it gives us our embed URLs, all that kind of stuff, the chapters, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:55
So what I want to do now is I need to promote this video.
02:00
And the way I want to do this is by using the transcript to find interesting 90 to 120 second clips, where that I can use as a teaser.
02:23
The video, the eclipse, need to be trimmed according, be trimmed to the transcript.
02:35
So it makes most sense and the video can work without needing the context of the full video.
02:46
Maybe there's a better way to prompt this.
02:49
But basically the short of it is we're taking our entire transcript.
02:55
And one of the cool things about the Tella API is that when it Returns the transcript.
03:00
It actually will give you the exact timestamp by milliseconds.
03:06
So it will say, all right, from 303 into 4:52.
03:10
This is where you talk about this.
03:12
Then in clip two it found this, you know, and so it will kind of show you, hey, this is the one that you could use.
03:20
And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to say, all right, let's go with clip, one.
03:25
And I'm going to say, all right, okay, let's use Clip 1.
03:31
Create a duplicate of the video and then trim it according to the timestamp using the Tella mcp.
03:43
And now what it's going to do is it's going to go ahead and it's going to create a brand new video for us in our Tella account, trimmed by the timestamp.
03:54
Now it's going to ask me for permission.
03:55
I'm just going to say allow it once.
03:57
But of course if you just want it to auto, do it, you can also allow it to take those actions without requiring any of your attention.
04:06
But now it says, hey, we did this beautiful stuff.
04:09
and it will also give you your Tella link.
04:12
So let's go ahead, open this up, see where it takes us.
04:16
And you can now see it's created a promo clip for us.
04:21
Turn videos into blog posts.
04:22
Lazy version.
04:23
And now when I hit the play button, it will just, instead of taking out the whole video, it will just take this particular segment.
04:35
And so imagine being able to do that with multiple clips.
04:39
So you can essentially build yourself a pipeline of short videos that you can use in your YouTube shorts, all that type of stuff.
04:46
Now as of right now, if you wanted to turn this into a YouTube short, you would have to manually update, you know, the size of your video.
04:57
and you also need to, you know, if you're using Studio Voice, which I am using all the time, you'll have to set that up manually.
05:04
But soon as far as I know, and I'm not in the product team so I can't make any promises, but all of this stuff we might be able to automate soon as well, which is super exciting because that will basically mean that we don't need to be involved in the editing process at all.
05:23
So there you go, there's me.
05:26
you know, I think at some point I should figure out how to resize these things properly.
05:30
But yeah, in short, you know, you can go and set it up like this.
05:34
My Camera setup isn't particularly great right now, but you kind of get the idea.
05:38
but yeah, this is essentially how it works, with the clip creation thing.
05:44
You can do this on loop.
05:46
it's lots of fun.
05:48
one more thing that I think might be, interesting to add to this is to say, can you review the playlists and see if there are any suitable playlists for my promo clips and if no, recommend one that I should set up.
06:16
And so this is just to quickly touch on some of the playlist automation stuff which I also find incredibly useful.
06:22
we can go ahead, we can go and retrieve all of that.
06:26
I'm gonna connect, but yeah, you can kind of see here, hey, here, a few playlists that you can review.
06:32
verdict, no suitable playlist exists.
06:34
And then it says create a new playlist.
06:37
So I can just say, okay, create the playlist and then add the video and you're pretty much good to go.
06:48
And so, those are the first three videos.
06:51
Now, one of the videos that I'm gonna be working on next, if there's any interest is how we could now take these promo clips that we have created and automatically schedule them for publishing in YouTube.
07:08
Because that is also something that can be done, purely with the MCP.
07:12
However, when it comes to uploading to YouTube, you going to need to do some slightly more advanced stuff.
07:17
But because one of the interesting or one of the end points that Tella makes available in their MCP is to allow you to download video, export videos.
07:31
what you can actually do with the API is to basically say, hey, start the video export and once the export is done it will give you the download URL and then you can use this download URL to really upload, upload it back up to YouTube.
07:45
So I'm going to work on that.
07:46
I'll probably make it in a different automation tool, rather than Claude code, just so you can kind of see how you can also fully automate it without it needing to be like a conversation.
07:55
But if there are any questions, please do let me know and I'll talk to you soon.
