Today we're launching a bunch of updates to our, Chapters feature.

We launched Chapters originally a couple months ago, and it has quickly become one of our favorite features and one of your favorite features.

And so these updates today are all about taking it to the next level.

So let's jump into it.

The first thing is that we are now automatically generating the chapters for you, just like this.

In the past, you'd have to add them manually or generate them using AI.

Now we just generate them using AI for you.

So as soon as you're done recording or editing, you get a nice set of chapters like this, ready for your viewer, to navigate around.

This works great with our new Quick mode feature, meaning you can hit stop on your recording.

You get the link copied to your clipboard, And then your viewer gets a nice set of chapters to navigate around the video without you having to do anything.

Now, the second update which enables this first update is that generating chapters is a lot faster.

This is our, 12 minute long API launch video from the other day.

Generating chapters for this really only takes a couple of seconds.

It's impressively fast.

Now, being Now, being able to generate chapters this fast means we can do things like automatically generate the chapters for you on every video.

But it also means we can do other things.

Which takes me to the next update that we have for you today, and that is that chapters are now available in the Editor.

So here we are in the editor for that same video.

And when you're in the setup panel, you'll see this new little section here, which has a title, but also now the description and then the option to access chapters.

So if you click on this, you can see all of the chapters in that video.

You can generate the chapters for the video in here in the editor if you're making a longer video and you need to spend more time in the editor.

But you can also do other fun things like clipping from a chapter.

So the chapters kind of give you this cross clip breakdown of the video.

The chapters aren't bound to the structure of your clips.

They'll just look at the different topics and content and themes in the video.

And so you can then turn these chapters into other videos.

So if I just hover over this one here, click on these three dots, I can edit the chapter, but I can also just copy this to a new video.

So when I click this, what I'm going to get is a completely new video that focuses just on the content of that original chapter.

So if we jump into the cut tool, you can see it's trimmed down the original clip that this was from to just the section here which addresses that chapter.

It's about that point.

So you can turn your chapters into clips that you can reuse or publish in whatever way you want.

You'll also find some improvements to the chapter editor.

So when you're making manual adjustments or adding chapters manually, that should feel a little bit nicer than before.
